emersyn showed up at the sturniolo house unannounced. she was waiting outside the door for someone to open.

nick opened the door for her, completely astonished by her appearance

"hey, whats up?" nick asks

"is matt here?" emersyn looks at him

"hes in his room, why?" nick asks again

"is he busy?" she asks

"uh no, hes alone in his cave, why?" he chuckles

"i need to borrow his math notes" she lies

"oh, okay" nick says, closing the door behind her

emersyn goes to matts room and knocks, not sure if she should just have gone right in

"come in" she hears matt say

she walks in the room to see matt on his phone, leaning his head against the bed frame

"hi" emersyn says

"oh, what do you want?" matt doesnt take his eyes of his phone

"matt im sorry for doing what i did, i dont want you to feel like i was leading you on. listen, i have very few people in my life who are very special to me matt and i couldnt begin go explain how hard it would be for me to lose one, but i already have. i lost my mom, my dad, and you. and i hate myself for making you upset" she sits on his bed "matt i miss you so much its insane. i need you more than ever right now because its been super hard for me since you stopped talking to me and i dont know what to do, im so lost." she says, her voice cracking slightly

"okay" matt responds, his eyes still on his phone

"matt are you even listening to me?" she looks at him

"no not really" he looks at her "wait are you crying?"

"yes matt because this is what it feels like to lose a best friend, of course you dont even care about my feelings. i dont know what i was thinking coming over here. bye" she wipes the two tears that fell on her cheek and walks out of the room

"hey what happened?" nick asks

"nothing" emersyn leaves with a sniffle
