emersyn walked into school after being driven by her brother. the schedule had changed, so now she had math with matt, and math was now her first subject instead of it being chemistry with chris.

she walked to her locker and grabbed her notebooks. she walked to her class to see matt leaning against the wall next to the door, looking at the people who entered the classroom, he finally catches the eye of the girl he had been looking for as he smiles softly

"hey" matt says, standing up straight

"hey, who were you waiting for?" emersyn asks

"this girl whose brother hates me" he chuckles

"oh yeah about that, he is totally fine with you guys now" she says

"oh yeah? how come?" he asks as they both walk in the classroom

"well i told him all the reasons about how you guys are super nice and how youre my best friends" she lies, sitting down

"best friends?" he looks at her, sitting down next to her

"yeah, is that not the correct term? it's totally fine if it isnt" emersyn says

"no no, its fine, were best friends" matt smiles softly

"you sure?" she asks

"you dont have to ask me twice" he answers, getting his things out from his backpack

emersyn heart grew for the three boys, not in a romantic way of course, in a friend way. she had never had true friends, friends that cared about her, friends that werent using her for her brother, friends that would do anything for her.

i mean, look at the triplets, they were willing to prove themselves to her brother to be friends with her.

sure, they would probably trade her for a new pair of socks, but they were there for her. and she was gonna praise their friendship for the rest of her existence.

the triplets were her best friends, and she was theirs. that was all that mattered to her.
