A bump in the road had woken me up what felt like only five minutes after I fell asleep. I rubbed my eyes sleepily and lifted my head off of my Uncle's chest who was also sleeping.
"What time is it?" I yawned groggily.
"It's only noon," I heard a reply from the back.
I looked behind and saw Dave behind me, the others sleeping soundly, his blue eyes glaring at me. There was a complete and utter silence until I broke the ice, "Dave, are you mad at me?" No reply.
I slowly climbed my way to the very back where he was sitting. On the opposite side, Steve-O rested his head on the window, his face relaxed.
Adorable. Adorable. Adorable. Was all I could think while I took a seat between the two.
Dave continued to stare out the window, his blue eyes wandered at every passing thing outside.
"Dave, you can tell me. What's wrong?"
"Nothing," he sighed and shifted uncomfortable under my gaze, furrowing his brows.
"I know there's something wrong, Dave." I insisted.
"I told you. It's nothing." He said back forcefully.
I poked his arm repeatedly, "Common, Dave! I know something's up."
"Ugh, fine..." his voice trailed off and he whipped out his phone, going through a few text messages.
He pulled up a text and have me the phone, then resumed looking out the window, all depressed.
I read all of the past text messages right to the beginning-- two years ago--: M=Michelle(the girl) D=Dave
M- Hey :)
D-Hey...
M- Tonight was fun... maybe we should go out again next time?
D- Yeah... I think so too :) Where you wanna go?
This was just the beginning of the many conversations Dave had had with this "Michelle" person. There were many text messages that were flirty, that were cute, and other types of messaging from a normal couple. I read all of the texts until I saw the last few ones:
D- Hey, I'm at my Uncle's niece's house... I'll meet you there?
M- You know what, Dave? Fuck you! I am just so sick and tired that you've been ditching me! You've always been late to our dates because of your stupid Jackass thing with your buddies.
D- I promise, it won't happen again... please?
M- No, Dave. You've broken so many promises already. And FYI, I've been seeing someone else.
D- You know what? Fuck you, bitch. I'll find another girl. I can't believe your actually breaking up with me over fucking text messaging.
M- Fine then! I don't give a fuck. Go live a life full of hell without me.
D- Don't worry, I'll enjoy my life without your slutty bitchy, ass. Now goodbye.
These texts were sent just yesterday at three or four in the morning. I glanced at Dave, who I thought had a tear in his eye.
"Dave..." I whispered and wrapped my arms around him.
"God, this was the worst breakup I've ever been through... I dated her for two years. And those were the best two years of my fucking life." He sobbed and rested his forehead on my shoulder.
"It's okay... I'm sure you'll find a better girl. You're such a nice guy, and I don't know how that girl could break up with you."
I felt a shifting behind me and felt Steve-O kick my leg lightly, mumbling something to himself.
Rolling my eyes and trying to hold back a grin, I went back to comforting Dave, who had wiped his tears away and asked, "You really think so?"
"Of course, Dave," I took one of his hands in mine, "you're a really funny, nice guy! I'm sure any girl would want to date you."
"Thanks, Katie. I feel a little better already." He gave me a last hug before we hit a bump in the road, again. But this time, everyone hit something on the walls of the van. My ass had somehow jumped three feet in the air and caused me to hit my head on the roof of the car.
"FUCK!" I hollered and clutched my throbbing head.
"Holy shit what?!" Steve-O gasped, wide-eyed.
Everyone groaned and glared at me, tired and sleepy. I looked back at all of them sheepishly and apologized, "Oops... I'm sorry guys!"
Everyone went back to their nap-time, grumbling something under their breaths. I rubbed my head and slouched in my seat, still sitting awkwardly. I looked to my left and Dave slept, his red, puffy eyes now closed and his body relaxed. I slowly tried to get out of my chair when Steve-O pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist, not letting me go.
"Staaaaayyyy..." he mumbled.
I groaned, "Steve! Steve! Let me the fuck outta here!"
He only cuddled into the crook of my neck, "No. I want you to stay here. But on my lap."
"Seriously?" I sighed and blushed a light pink.
"Yep..." His voice trailed off and a light snore had followed straight after that.
Now's my chance! I tried to peel his arms off of my waist, but they wouldn't budge, his grip as tight as a boa-constructor's.
Great. Now I had to stay in Steve-O's lap the whole time. Well, I guess it wouldn't be that bad... I mean he is my friend and all...
I didn't know exactly what to think of Steve-O or Bam. Okay, I think I had a crush on Steve-O and possibly Bam. I think. What would happen if I actually had a relationship with one or the other? That would mess up friendship with the other eventually, and I know some things just wouldn't work out.

After about an hour of traveling, we had made it to a luxury hotel near Long Beach. I stared wide-mouthed at the ginormous building as Brian unloaded the van.
"Welcome to Jackass studios." Uncle Johnny said.
"Really?!"
"Nah, I'm just kidding! Of course not!" he laughed and walked me inside.
I kept my face flat, not amused by his ability to show my gullible-ness, but was over-whelmed by the fanciness of the hotel. All of the people were dressed in fancy tuxedos, or dresses.
A young blonde had greeted us at the front door, her brown eyes tired and restless.
"Welcome to Shangrila Hotel. What name are you checked under?"
"Herminsheimer Bizzlegald." My Uncle answered.
I burst out laughing, the echo of my continuos happiness bouncing off the walls of the giant building.
"What kind of--" My mouth was covered by Ryan's hand, now apologizing, "Sorry ma'am, but she has some fucked up mental issues."
"Excuse me sir, but we don't accept that kind of language here."
"Sorry lady," Bam said sorrily.
The uptight woman had given my Uncle the keys to each of our hotel rooms. I was picked up and was put over the shoulder of Ryan, who was now following the guys to the elevators.
The blonde woman at the front desk rolled her eyes at me and went back to work. Laughing, I stuck out my tounge, astonishing the bell-boy who had happened to be looking.
