Today is the official launch of my summer collection. We're occupied with so much preparation. I need to double-check that everything is in order.

Nandito kami sa venue kung saan gaganapin ang pag-announced ng perfume ko. Invited ang iilan sa mga investors at mga iilan na ma-impluwensyang tao. Thankful ako kahit na hindi pa ako ganon katagal sa business world ay nakikilala na ako. I can say with confidence that my efforts are paying off.

"Gurl congrats!" Dumating si Gio na may kasamang lalaki. Palihim na sumenyas ako dito. "My boyfriend, Axel." I smirked when I saw my bestie getting shy.

"Hi." Nahihiyang inilahad niya ang kamay para makipag-shake hand.

"Hello, Axel." I accepted his hand and gave a meaningful look at my best friend, "so how long have you been dating my best friend?

"Two months."

"Two months?" I turned to face my best friend and tinaasan ko siya ng kilay. "Hey Gio." Lumingon siya sa gilid para makaiwas sa tingin na pinupukol ko sa kaniya. Humanda talaga sa'kin ang baklang 'to mamaya. Binalik ko ang tingin sa boyfriend niya. "Nice meeting you."

"Same here."

"Make yourself comfortable." I smiled at him, "you too bestfriend." I emphasized the word best friend so he would get the hint.

Bineso niya ako at bumulong, "oo na sasabihin ko next time."

"As you should." Inirapan niya ako bago sila umalis sa harapan ko.

Binati ko ang mga ibang bisita na bagong dating. Even though I'm used to being the center of attention when it comes to business, I still get anxious.

Nang makita ko si Sasha ay nilapitan ko 'to, "ikaw muna ang bahala, lalabas lang ako saglit."

"Sure Miss."

I went to the back to get some air for awhile. Nang makalabas ay sumandal ako sa malapit na poste. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a moment. I opened my eyes when I felt like I was okay and saw Kate smiling at me.

"Water?" She handed me a bottled water and I gladly took it.

"Thank you."

"What are you doing here?" tumabi siya sa'kin at diretsong nakatingin sa tanawin. "Di ba dapat nasa loob ka, inaasikaso sila?"

"Nagpapahangin lang saglit." Uminom ako sa bottle na inabot niya.

"Where's River?" She asked and looked at me.

"She has school but she'll come after." I heard her sigh "why?" I make her attend her class even though she does not want to. She wanted to be here with me, but her studies are more important.

"I'm really late huh?" I slowly nodded, since I knew what she was talking about. Her sad eyes were visible to me.

"I'm sorry." I'm not sure if I should apologize to her, but I did anyway.

"You don't have to, it's my fault anyway. Huli na nang makilala kita." I received a weak smile from her. "Kasalanan niya ang bagal niya na pagtagpuin tayo." I laughed along with her at her jokes.
