Yellow Is

Yellow is
A color.
Yellow is
A feeling.
Yellow is the pale sunlight
Streaming through the window.
Yellow is the golden rays
Shining on your skin.
Yellow is
Your smile
In a second across the hallway.
Yellow is a crazy idea
And the sparkle in your eyes.
Yellow is the ringing
Of wind chimes at the door.
Yellow is the sizzle
Of eggs in the morning.
Yellow is the silk
Of sunflower petals.

Yellow follows you
As sure as a shadow.
And yellow takes the shape
Of you.

This one comes from an assignment in which we had to personify a color with all 5 senses. And then I turned mine into a poem because why not. Don't write poems often but this seemed right.

Personifying colors is fun :] Should do it again sometime.
