Line without a hook (Luigi x fem! Reader)

Luigi stared off into the sunset, he felt so alone...he was sat on the hill that he and Y/n use to sit on all the time to watch the sunset.

But things had gotten so rough that him and Y/n didn't come here anymore, at least together.

He just wanted to feel her touch again, he didn't care where, but he missed her and him being alone together without anyone else around to interrupt them.

"You can hold my hand if you wish?" Luigi questioned the woman who was walking beside him, Y/n laughed, "sure, I guess." Her hand gently grabbed his and feelings swelled inside of him.

He didn't want the feeling to end, he had gotten so close to Y/n over the months that it seemed they would be inseparable, even after Luigi had confessed his feelings to the woman she quickly accept.

Nothing seemed to get in the way, but things changed.

"Why do you make me feel so small?" Y/n questioned, "your choking me with your affection and I can't take it!"

Luigi narrowed his eyes at Y/n, "no I'm not, your being so aggressive about this, why do you explode over the little things?" He felt like an ocean that was about to flood out of control.

"No I'm not being that harsh! Because you not letting me have time to myself..." Y/n mumbled, tears starting to show, she then walked out as Luigi tried to call back for her.

Luigi wanted to follow her, he didn't want her to leave him, he craved her love and affection. And he didn't want it to leave him.

Mario would constantly compare his brother to their mother, not wanting to be alone and not wanting to live alone.

"Clearly it's a curse..." Luigi mumbled to himself, he gained the courage to leave the house and look for Y/n.

"Y/n!" Luigi called out for his girl, suddenly feeling cold, yet there wasn't any chilly breeze at all. God he felt like a wreck without her.

The green plumber searched for her and finally saw her crying on a bench, that was facing a beautiful lake.

It felt like his bones shattered when he saw her, his heart ached every step he took towards her. "What do you want..."

Y/n whispered the words beneath tears, Luigi swallowed the lump forming in his throat, "I-I'm sorry about what I said..."

He definitely said the wrong words and made her feel like a burden, she looked at Luigi with hurt in her eyes. At first she didn't say anything, only her echoed cries filled the air.

"I don't think it's working out," she finally whispered, this broke the green plumber. "B-but why?"

Y/n laughed weakly, drying her eyes, "can't you see? The relationship is failing and I can't go on anymore...unless there is a change."

Without another word the h/c haired woman lifted herself off the bench and walked off, leaving a heartbroken man.

Luigi felt so out of it as the days passed on, he never believed that Y/n would end up falling out of love with him.

Something that needed to be changed? That was him apparently, but maybe Y/n had some changing to do too?

Whenever the green plumber tried sleeping, he always felt this voice constantly asking him if any of this was even worth it.

Now there was something and there was nothing in between, and constantly he felt as if he was never worthy of Y/n's affection.

He hadn't even seen her after she walked away from the lake. And now Luigi was pulled back into reality when a voice broke him from his thoughts.

"Luigi?"

Luigi was ready to turn around and tell whoever it was to leave him alone, however when he saw who it was he completely fell silent.

"Are you alright you look like you've seen a ghost," Y/n mumbled as she walked up the hill and sat beside him.

They both watched the sunset, Luigi felt his emotions exploding inside of him, not being able to kill the sound this time.

"So been a long time hasn't it?" Y/n breathed out, "two years?" Luigi widened his eyes, "has it really been that long? Where have you been all this time?" Y/n cleared her throat.

"I needed to clear my head..." She stated, after looking at the orange sky for a little more time, "I wanted to say I'm sorry for walking away like that, but I'm willing to try again if you wish."

Luigi felt his heart coming back to life, smiling at the h/c haired woman, "are you really giving me another chance?"

She nodded, "but you can't smother me too much, and I'll be not as explosive..." Luigi quickly brought Y/n into a hug, and she accepted it.

It finally felt like he wasn't a wreck anymore and he had finally pulled him and Y/n from the dangerous tide.

They finally released as the sky darkened into deep blue, the stars finally showing, Y/n stood up and offered her hand to Luigi.

He gladly took it and the two walked away back to their home, hoping that the future held good things for them.

I honestly had fun writing this, again this was short but I've written two chapters in one go.

Also I followed the lyrics and the main theme/meaning of the song. I didn't go in lyric order I just flowed with what order fitted best.
