Y/n groaned loudly as her alarm went off, her tired eyes looked towards it before pressing the button to turn it off.

She looked up at the ceiling, her head was pounding heavily, but she had to get up. The woman slowly got out of bed and got dressed, she had to be in town to work.

After quickly getting dressed and eating breakfast and brushing her teeth she left her house.

The bright sun didn't help with the headache what so ever, then she sneezed, "great...I'm sick." She grumbled.

But she couldn't let that get in the way, she went to her stall and set up the flowers, many toads came and went, and soon enough the princess had made her appearance.

"Oh Y/n, you look terrible..." Peach said as she came over to the flower stall. Y/n hummed in response, "yea he I get that a lot..."

"It's not that getting you down is it?" Peach questioned with worry in her voice. Y/n rolled her eyes.

"You mean that soulmate conundrum?" Y/n spat harshly, wincing as her head began pounding once again. "No I think I'm coming down with something..."

The princess sighed, "then why didn't you just take the day off?" Y/n shook her head.

"I can't, this is more important..." Y/n stated, letting out a sneeze mid sentence. Peach tutted and then grabbed Y/n's hand. "Where are we going?"

"I'm taking you to see Dr. Luigi," Peach stated, Y/n rolled her eyes and groaned, she never liked the doctors...

It didn't take long as Peach booked an appointment and the two girls waited patiently. Y/n looked around and noticed the couples around.

Apparently this place also did a soulmate finder, you know, because everyone has a matching mark to another.

However Y/n hadn't even found her's yet, Maybe she was just destined to not have anyone? Her mark was so complex, it was a fox for crying out loud!

"Uh Y/n? Dr. Luigi is ready to see you!" The toad from the reception desk called out, Peach patted the woman on the back as Y/n walked away.

She let out a shaky breath before walking into the room that belong to this Luigi fellow. Dr. Luigi turned his head as the woman walked in, Y/n felt her cheeks burn.

"Hello, your Y/n right?" He questioned, Y/n nodded as she took her seat. Fidgeting with her fingers. "Alright so, let's start with your temperature..."

He did the basic things, temperature, checking eyes, ears etc. then he pulled out the Stethoscope, "is it alright with you if I check your heart beat?"

God his voice was cute, Y/n nodded, keeping her mouth shut as to not spill her thoughts. "Have you heard of the soulmate finder?" Luigi asked.

"Yeah, yeah I have, but if I'm honest I'll never find mine..." Y/n mumbled, lifting her shirt up slightly so Dr. Luigi could listen to her heart beat.

He then went round the back but Y/n didn't feel the stethoscope hit her skin, "what is it?" She questioned.

"Nothing, I just didn't expect to see your mark, it is an unusual one," the doctor hummed. Y/n quickly pulled her shirt back down.
