Cloud nine (Luigi x fem! Reader)

The sun was high in the sky, shining down brightly on toad town below. Luigi was currently walking around, it was obvious that he was looking for someone.

He didn't want to look like he was looking for Y/n, but the toads around him knew everything. It was clear he had a massive crush on the woman.

"Hey watch it!" A toad yelled when the plumber wasn't looking where he was going, tripping over his own feet and landing on the floor.

"I-I am so sorry!" He quickly apologised, lifting himself up and helping the toad that he had bumped into.

"Is everything alright over here?" A beautiful voice questioned, it was none other than Y/n, her eyes met Luigi's and his face quickly turned red.

"Your friend over here just wasn't looking where he was going," the toad huffed as he picked up his belonging and left.

The others around then quickly turned away and continued what they were doing. "Your so clumsy, Lu, even more than before."

"Oh really, I-I haven't noticed..." Luigi looked at the ground in shame, of course he was lying. He began fumbling over his words more, he made more accidents and he was all bruised up from falling over constantly.

"Hey, do you want to have a little fun?" Y/n asked, her e/c eyes shining brightly. Luigi felt his spirits lift, and is confidence.

"O-Okay, what are we gonna do?" He asked, Y/n gently grabbed his hand and smiled. "You'll see, pretty boy."

Luigi felt his cheeks burn, feeling like he was floating on top of the world, he loved it when Y/n was around.

He loved her over anything besides his brother, she was just so confident and kind, and that confidence rubbed off onto him.

The plumber felt all fuzzy whenever she would say something nice, and even if they would fade and drift apart from each other for a while, he would always love her.

Soon enough the two approached Y/n's small little house, Luigi raised a brow, "why are we here?"

"I have to show you something first before we can have fun!" She chuckled, Y/n let go of Luigi's hand and ran towards a hedge that cut off the forest.

The h/c haired woman motioned with her hand for Luigi to follow her, so he did. Y/n slowly disappeared through the hedge.

"Y/n?!" Luigi yelled in fear as the woman vanished. "Come through!" She called with a laughed.

The plumber fought through the twigs and leaves of the hedge and he was quickly back next to Y/n. He let out a gasp at the sight.

It was like a paradise, a circle hedge surrounding a beautiful field of flowers, and not just any normal flowers either.

Fire flowers, ice flowers, boomerang flowers, cloud flowers, gold flowers. And that wasn't it, there were different types of trees growing acorns, super bells, double cherries and tanooki leaves.

"This is amazing!" Luigi said in awe, he looked at Y/n with a smile, "have you been growing these?!"

She nodded slowly, walking along a path that branched to the separated flowers, "yep, all of these for any upcoming adventures."

But Luigi didn't understand, sure this was wonderful but didn't Y/n say something about fun?

"Alright, grab a cloud flower," she stated as she plucked one of them, immediately transforming.

Luigi ran towards her and plucked one too, turning into his cloud form. Y/n motioned towards the acorn trees.

Both of them ran to it and shook the tree, picking up an acorn that drops. "Alright, are you ready?" She questioned.

"Yes, but what are we doing?" Luigi questioned, feeling nervous. Y/n only chuckled as she began climbing the acorn tree. "Y/n?"

"You'll find out soon enough!" Y/n laughed happily, Luigi mentally prepared himself as he put the acorn in his pocket and climbed the tree slowly.

They were up at the highest branch andLuigi couldn't help but hold onto Y/n in fear. The woman felt her face heat up at his touch.

She loved him more than anything else in the world, and even though he was so scared of everything, he would sometimes give her compliments and Y/n couldn't help but feel like she was floating.

"Ready?" She asked with a grin, Luigi frowned as the woman then jumped off the tree, a cloud forming below her. "Come on!"

Luigi followed close behind on his own platforms, they both joined together on a large cloud as their power ups faded.

"Umm, what are we going to do? We are way up high!" Luigi panicked as he gripped onto his hat tightly.

Y/n pulled out her acorn and ate it, Turing into her flying squirrel form, Luigi panicked as the cloud poofed away and he and Y/n began falling.

"Eat your acorn, Lu!" Y/n said desperately, he quickly pulled it out, almost dropping it in the process and ate it.

He turned to his flying squirrel form, but was just flapping in the air in a panic. Y/n quickly grabbed hold on him, "Luigi, relax and hold your arms out, remember?"

Luigi nodded as Y/n let him go and he breathed out before holding his arms out, he was so thankful to have Y/n keep him calm and steady even if he was falling from the clouds.

Y/n began gliding down back to the ground and Luigi followed her. Then he began feeling alive again, the adrenaline felt amazing!

"Now wasn't that great?" Y/n smiled widely, looking at the sky above, "whoo! I haven't felt that alive in a long time!"

Luigi felt himself smile, both of them had been feeling the same. Y/n then turned to Luigi, "I'm glad I did this with you."

"Same here..." Luigi mumbled as he began fiddling with his squirrel tail, "can I tell you something?"

"Sure, go ahead," Y/n said as her attention was fully on the plumber.

"Well, I've just wanted to say that I love you a lot, and I feel like I'm floating when I'm with you. I love it when you tell me how pretty I look all the time and...we never drift away."

Y/N's face became red with embarrassment, her squirrel ears twitching, "I've felt the same way, everything you've said, I also feel like I'm floating whenever I'm with you."

The woman then grabbed Luigi into a hug, "I love you too Luigi, you'll always be my favourite form on loving..."

He smiled happily as he tightly hugged Y/n back, "how's about we go into the clouds again?" She asked.

"Yes please!" He smiled they quickly climbed a taller tree and jumped, happily gliding above toad town as the civilians pointed up above and waved.

Luigi smiled happily as he grabbed Y/n hand, her eyes shone in the sunlight as she smiled back.

Both of them were on cloud nine
