Stars aligned (Rosalina x Male! Reader)

The river was sparkling in the starlight, Y/n stared at the sky in awe, holding onto his stuffed toy tightly.

"Y/n? What are you doing all the way out here?" It was Rosalina who called out to the boy.

He shrugged as he kept his eyes on the stars, "I dunno, I was just...watching the galaxies above."

"It is beautiful isn't it?" The blonde girl sighed, she sat beside the boy, her eyes glistened in the moonlight.

Y/n looked at Rosalina with sympathy, the blonde girl had lost her mother not long ago and was now living with Y/n and his parents.

All of a sudden a flash was seen in the sky, "is that a shooting star?" Rosalina questioned as the yellow light was coming closer.

"It's coming right for us!" Y/n yelled in fear, dragging Rosalina away as the light crashed into the earth, dust and dirt scattering everywhere.

Y/n squinted his eyes closed to avoid the debris from entering them. He let out a small breath as he opened them to see a small crater in the earth.

"What is it?" Rosalina questioned as she opened her blue eyes, gazing at the hole. Y/n swallowed the fear back as he approached the crater.

He was suddenly jumped out of his skin as a star with small eyes shot out of the hole, looking around.

"I-it's a living star!" Y/n gasped as he held his stuffed toy tighter. Rosalina approached it with stars in her eyes.

"It's amazing," she breathed, "what's your name little one?" The star then began making noises, then pointed towards the sky, "your a luma, and you've been separated by your parents?"

"How did you understand a word of what it said?" Y/n furrowed his brows as he looked at the yellow star, it began whimpering quietly.

The blonde girl looked towards the boy with determination in her eyes, "don't you understand, we need to help this luma get home!"

The h/c haired boy looked at her with a bewildered gaze, "how are we going to do that?"

"Simple we just need to get up there, with a rocket ship!" Rosalina said with such confidence.

Y/n felt his cheeks heat up as he admired her determination to get the small star back home. But why did she want to help it?

"We should get started on our building tomorrow," Rosalina stated, before Y/n could say anything the girl ran into the house with the luma following.

Maybe Rosalina wanted to help the luma because she didn't have her mother anymore.

Y/n sighed, his feelings for Rosalina made him agree to help, "alright, let's help him get home..." he shouted to her as he ran inside and shut the door.

Over the next days, Rosalina and Y/n worked on the said rocket ship, and after days of work they got a working junk ship.

Y/n looked at it with worry, staring at Rosalina with uncertainty, "are you sure this is a good idea?"
