A/N: thank you so much for 34 reads!!

I take the red rope and trot over to the trees Mr. Kembell had pointed to.

I dismounted Rosie and patted her mane. I was planning on tying her up, but I remembered what Mrs. Holdsworth said earlier today.

I decided to leave her standing. "Don't go running away now, girl" I leaned against her neck and taking in her scent before turning towards the current task at hand.

The trees werent big, and werent a part of a big forest, so I didnt see why they couldnt easily be removed without the red rope, but who was I to judge. Easy work to free Tan's friend.

I tightened the red rope around the first tree and took a careful glance at Rosie. She was standing calmly and watching me. I smiled at her.

I guess Mrs. Holdsworth was right, she was special. The horse I rode when I was younger would certainly run off.

Tightening the red rope around the last tree I grab Rosie's halter and start leading her up to the GED worksite. She neighed and stopped me.

Her eyes looked into mine, its almost like she was telling me she didnt want to go up to the machines. I patted her muzzle.

"Wait here, Rosie" I patted her slightly, before heading up to the worksite. "Good job, Ms. L/N! I've sendt the bulldozer off, now your little friend can be saved" He taunted as I watched the bulldozer slowly drive off.

"Hope you sleep well knowing you've helped tear down your precious stable" he smiled an eerie smile at me.

I lightly jogged back to Rosie where she welcomed me with a noise that almost reminded me of a 'hi'.

I stopped and stared at her, before shaking my head and mounting her, deciding it was just my head. Horses cant speak.

I rode Rosie a safe distance from the Bulldozer and watched it remove the rocks. When the bulldozer left and the worker guarding the road had gone off for lunch, I turned Rosie towards the road and rode up it.
