23 ♪ haunted

The sky was getting darker and I circled around Silverglade castle, getting a view of it. Every now and then I would her sobbing from inside the walls. The sun was going down, giving this whole thing an eerie vibe.

"Can I help ya, lass?" I yelped and turned around to see a man wearing a straw hat and overalls. "Steves the name. Youre checking out the castle 'eh" I nodded. "If you solve the mystery let us know will 'ya? It would be a blessin' to the entire town, it keeps us up at night" Steve complained before tipping his hat at me. "The baroness might know somethin' about the castle, it's her castle after all. I'm goin' to hit the hay, don't keep us all up like whatever is in here" He halfheartedly laughed.

He walked off before I could say anything. I decided to head back and sleep, and investigate it tomorow, the baroness might even be asleep.

I wonder where the so called baroness lives. I heard a final sob from the castle before galloping home on Rosie, low key terrified.

"Woah slow down!" Maya yelped as I galloped into Moorland. "Sorry" I panted leaning on Rosie. "What happened to you?" Maya asked as I dismounted Rosie. I thought about telling her about the soulriders but I decided to keep my mouth shut.

"Checked out the castle" I said. "Hm? Oh yes, it 's said that the baroness locked up a girl in there 8 years ago" Maya explained and shivered "Probably the biggest hoax of the century though"

I walked with Maya to our room. "Where does the Baroness live?" I asked. "Ooh, big time Y/N solving another mystery on this island?" Maya wiggles her eyebrows making me laugh. "Oh please"

Maya unlocked the door to our shared room and stepped inside, heading for the showers. I briefly changed into my PJs and passed out on the bed.

Things were moving quickly now, quicker than I'd expect. I've been here for 3 days now and I'm already supposed to be able to save the island?
