A/N: sorry for not updating for like a week I've been busy

I made sure Maya was asleep before sneaking out of our shared room. I decided to not wake up Rosie, and rather walk up there myself.

The cool night wind brushed against my bare arms as I walked out of Moorland stables. There wasnt a single light on, except from the one Mrs. Holdsworth lived in. I couldn't say for certain, but I could swear I saw her form in the window.

I reached the electrical box and opened it, looking for any clue as to what I was gonna do now. A big button with an on/off symbol stood out to me. If it has an on/off symbol, its gotta turn things on and off, right?

I clicked on it, and just as i anticipated, it turned off. But couldn't GED just turn it back on? If it's this easy to turn off it shouldn't be that hard to turn on. I picked up a tiny gravel piece off the side of the road and jammed it into the side of the button and tried pushing the button again.

It didn't turn on, and I smiled to myself knowing I hindered GED from lighting up their sign again. I walked back and noticed that Mrs. Holdsworth's figure was gone from her window, and I watched her lights flick off. I walked back into the stables and closed the room door quietly before exhaling.

"Where have you been?" I heard a voice behind me. I felt my bones tense up and I stuttered, turning to face a tired Maya looking back at me. "Evening stroll?" I said, even though it sounded more like a question rather than an answer. Maya's eyes looked right through me. "You weren't like, horse-napping or anything?" Maya asked.

"no no! Not at all!" I denied frantically. She looked kind of dissapointed after my denial. "I, uh, turned off the big billboard with the old man on it" I said sitting down on my own bed. Maya's face had surprise written all over it and she jumped out of bed to check outside. "No way!" She looked at me. "You're like, a superspy or something!" Her previously sleepy state was long gone.

"hm" I replied groggily. She kept on asking questions about the details off the mission and who sent me on it. "Maya, can we please sleep now? It's 1 AM and we've both got things to do in the morning." "Oh right! Sorry!"

"Hey, Y/N"

"Yes?"

"Why was the electrical box unlocked?"

"Goodnight Maya"
