RAIN

Celine's POV:
I was lying on the floor while the pitter-patter of rain hits the glass windows that overlook the city below. It's chilly and wetter than you'd like it to be given your location, so you've been stuck indoors. There has been a storm in San Jose and Jonah and I were stuck inside. I shifted slightly, reaching for the remote. It's resting by Jonah's bent leg, which is covered in grey sweats - an outfit no one but I am meant to see. His barefoot is tapping a beat in time with the commercial jingle on the TV, and i had reached out to stop him. Each movement, each tap had sent a shock through his leg and up his body, jostling me as I restes my head on his belly. I felt him stare down at me when I had forced his absent-minded movement to cease. "What?" He asks, "You're moving." I said, but not a complaint, really. Just a statement. "Hard to be comfortable when my pillow doesn't stop moving." "Is that what I am?" He asks, a smirk on his lips.  "I am laying on you. That is what a pillow is, so...yes. And I don't like it when my pillows move." The last part of my statement was followed by me sticking my tongue out at him and then cracking a smile. He kept wiggling and moving, it's soft at first, a simple statement, but eventually, it's violent enough that you sit up. "What am I now?" He said in a smug like manner when he asks that question. If he weren't so cute, it would annoy me. "A pain in the ass," I told him as I pushed him over. He laughs at my quip as I felt his hand catch mine and pulls me into him. I sighed softly and melt into his side. I felt his arm go around me, and he reaches for the remote. "There's nothing on," he says, settling the two of us back down into a comfortable position. I hummed softly and nod. "It's all crap," I say. My eyes scan the menu as he scrolls through it in the hopes of finding something that we might enjoy.
Nothing.
"You know this is what's wrong with today's youth," I said off-handed as the menu goes over some of the kids and young adult programming offered. "They have nothing good to watch. No good entertainment. Everything is junk." I saw Jonah nod silently next to me. "An argument for getting outside and away from the devices, right? Perhaps we should..." "Yes, but...it's storming out there." It's as if that's a viable answer. It is and yet... it really isn't.
"It's just a bit of water."
"And I am the wicked witch." I say and you could almost hear the 'duh' in my tone of voice.
Jonah rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "I thought it was a pretty good joke, thanks."
"Well," he says instead of responding to my Wizard of Oz reference, "What would you like to do?" "Lay here with you and complain about the youth." I say matter-of-factly
"Can we order Sushi while you do that?" I laughed, as a smile appeared on my lips "Yes, absolutely!"
