Thanksgiving, a day of giving thanks, (hence the name,) in which you spend time with your friends and family, correct? Well, in Nene's case, the 'spending time with friends' part was correct, not much else though. It certainly wasn't what she was expecting, at all.
After the kitchen almost being blown completely up, (courtesy of Teru trying to cut apples) he was banned from the kitchen and half of the meal that was already cooked had to be remade.
So, Kou sent out Nene, Aoi, and Mitsuba to get more food ingredients, and had Amane stay in the house with him, as he didn't trust Tsukasa to leave the house nor be alone with him.
Teru sulked in the other room, slouched over while Tiara crafted paper crowns next to him.
"Tiara, it isn't fair they kicked me out of the kitchen. I was only trying to help! Besides, how was I supposed to know that the apples are supposed to be cool, and it's not like ice cream."
Tiara placed the crown on his head, made of pink sticky notes.
"So what, I microwaved both the apple and the apple cutter, how was I supposed to know that you can't microwave metal? It makes sense, if the apple and the slicer is warm I'll be able to cut through easier." He huffed, crossing his arms. "Just like ice cream.."
"Are you mad at Kou?" Tiara asked.
"Well, Im not mad, but.."
"You want to get back into the kitchen, correct?" Teru thought, but nodded.
"Then.. let's sneak in! And secretly, without any of them knowing, we can help improve the recipe! We'll save the day!" Tiara stood up and placed her hands on her hips, letting the power get to her head.
"You're right!" He stood up too and took her hands into his, hoisting her up onto his shoulders. "Let's storm the kitchen!"
And they were off, sneaking around corners like how little kids would play ninjas.
When Kou turned his back to get seasoning from the pantry, Tiara would distract Amane and Tsukasa while Teru snuck in some of his own 'secret ingredients' into the pot.
He then ducked down behind the counter, praying Kou wouldn't see him as he snuck off to Tiara.
"What next?" He whispered, sitting in the hallway bend away from the kitchen.
"Hmm.. our goal is to make the meal better, correct?" Tiara scampered off to her bedroom, returning with a jar in her hand. "Then, let's add glitter! Since, glitter makes always everything better!"
This time, since it was her idea, Tiara tiptoed behind the counter and waited for Kou to look away, before she dumped the entirety of the pink shimmery jar into the mixing pot, stirring it up to hide the glitter.
The two couldn't think of anything else to add, but Tiara had one more idea.
"We should spoon in a little bit of jam, so it's sweeter!" She balanced on a chair, trying to dump in a spoonful of jam, but panicked when Kou started to turn around, falling off the chair and dropping the entire spoon into the pot.
She ran away before being spotted, but both Teru and Tiara sit in the living room, panicking, remembering Kou's lecture on 'metal in the microwave,' and assuming that it meant the same for ovens, too.
"We can't tell them we were helping out! That will ruin the whole surprise." Teru shook his leg nervously.
"But I dropped a spoon in there! And Kou is about to put the soup on the oven, what if we blow up our house! Kou said that leaving metal in the microwave will be bad.." Tiara climbed into his lap as they tried to figure out a plan to remove the spoon, when they heard Kou call out to Amane, letting him know he was putting the soup on the stove now.
