sea

i wonder if the shore cares

so fully,

so fearfully,

for the ocean that

she thinks every time

he pulls away

will be the last.

does she shed a tear

when she feels the expanse

of her emptiness

without him,

only for it to get swallowed up

seconds later?

i think too much of the sea's salt

was created

by the hurt ones.

and i think that even the shore,

the only girl that

will forever be

returned to,

feels lonely sometimes.

○○○○○○○○○○

there are not enough

people in the

entire world

to fill that void in your soul.

i know that nothingness, and

it is so dark there.

but love can not be

a tool to fix your broken bones

because to love is to despair.

to love is to be afraid of

the mirror.

to love is to live as a shadow.

to love is to hate, to hate

everything so much that

it makes you sick.

to love is to realize that love

is a sickness.

is the tide just the ocean

fearing that he is too

much for the land to bear?

does he rage and rage

and make storm after storm

because that is what love is?

to rage.

does he hate himself for

always returning to the land,

or do the only parts of himself

that he cherishes appear

when she is in his arms?

○○○○○○

the god that wrote the tragedy of

the sea must have

been a hurt one.

the god that taught us how to love

must have been a hurt one.

to love is to be sick,

and to be sick,

is to always return.

the ocean knows that,

but the shore will never learn.
