POV Vegas

I spent the whole afternoon socializing with people I wouldn't want to be around anymore. My social battery charge is empty, I'm in a bad mood. Pete no longer responds to my messages. Either he cut his phone or he's taking care of Porsche and therefore doesn't have time to answer me.

But it does not matter. I will have plenty of time to conquer it later. Pete will be mine. I am sure of it. I will just have to think about a winning strategy and remove Porsche from his life.

This will undoubtedly be my biggest goal this year and the thought that I will achieve it makes me very happy.

I'm currently in the cafeteria enjoying a cup of coffee. The student group I'm making a lot of noise with. The fact is that the teacher told us about doing group files is like a bomb. He has not yet announced the pairs. All I want is to be with someone who isn't boring.

Pete would of course be the ideal candidate but he will surely be put with Porsche. The concurrency between the classes of rights are so great that the teachers make groups of people according to the affinities of the students of the class to amplify the qualities of the work and therefore have a better chance of obtaining the best grades.

- We have to get back to class. Break time is over.

I throw away my cup of coffee and grab my phone to look at my notifications. No message from Pete but one from dad telling me that he left on a morning plane for France and that he won't be back until next week. He wishes me a good week of class and integration into my class.

I answer him politely, wishing him a good trip. Nothing more. I don't talk to dad beyond what is necessary. The more I talk to him, the more chances of a fight. The last one was quite expensive for me as I still have the whip marks behind my back.

I then refocus on the present moment, determined to quickly finish this day of university. I can't wait to get into bed and think about Pete again.

I walk back to the classroom with the group of students in silence. I don't like talking if you don't do it first. So I stay quiet...until Deborah, the girl who gave me Pete's number, does.

- So Vegas, do you like college at the moment?

- Yes, very much.

I keep an image of Pete in my head. Deborah smiled like an idiot as her blue eyes met mine. She fiddles with her hair, an undeniable sign that she is trying to flirt with me.

- And um... who do you hope to work with for the work in pairs?

I smirk and reply:

- Certainly not with you. You're not my style...even if you're very pretty. I'd rather tell you that way I'm not giving you false hope. If I have to be with someone, it has to be profitable for me. As I'm not attracted to girls...a boy would be more interesting as a file partner...

Deborah does not seem hurt by the fact that I identified her intentions concerning me and the fact that I immediately knew that she was hitting on me. She even seems to have concealed it.

- Are you gay? It's awesome! Do you guys hear that? We have a third gay in the class!!! Enough to capsize the heart of Porsche...or Pete...

The boys in the group burst out laughing.

- Stop saying nonsense, you have to get it into your head that Pete and Porsche are inseparable. They love each other far too much to live without each other.

I refrain from making any comments. Deborah shakes her head.

- Porsche and Pete's relationship may be stable but still fragile. By being too possessive, Porsche risks losing Pete... who can go elsewhere at any time. In my opinion, Pete hasn't found the right person yet. He and Porsche may be cute together, but they don't go well together.
