Song: Careless- NEFFEX
______________________________________

Sal gripped the neck of Larry's bass tightly as he walked onto the stage, the millions of fans cheering them on.

He sat Larry's bass on the stand next to him and gently touching the picture of his departed lover that was attached to the bass. This is it, Lar, your last tour. Sal thought as he turned back to the crowd.

"How's it going, New Jersey?" Sal called out, causing the people to cheer for them. "Great. Well I just wanted to say something before we start. We have had to omit some songs from the tour, as I do not have Larry here to sing them with me, and out of respect, Todd and Neil have declined singing them in his place. That being said, enjoy the show!"

They played a few fan favorites such as Badass and Nightmare, and for a second, everything seemed to just disappear. Every problem, every bad emotion, everything. It was as if it was just them, and at that moment, Sal felt like Larry truly was there with him, singing along.

Though the moment didn't last forever, and when the second to last song finished ringing out among the crowd, Sal felt everything once more. Sure he was sad about what he was about to do next, but he was happy that he was able to give Larry his last goodbye, and to give his friends the best last tour of their lives. Things weren't gonna be the same after this, they weren't gonna be a band anymore. They were probably going to separate into different careers or maybe get back into the ghost hunting business, but they felt as if it was only right. Larry couldn't play with them, so they wouldn't play either.

Sal took a breath and looked back at the crowd, who had since quieted down.

"Thank you all so much for your support, you guys are great. We have one more song for you tonight, it's brand new and we are performing it for the first time for all of you, but first I'd like to say one lest thing. Unfortunately, this will be our last tour, as we won't be making more music from this point on. Thank you all again for your support and goodbye," Sal said, and their last song began. This is for you, Larry.

But it's too late now
I remember you and me
And how careless we could be (yeah)

All day and all night
We'd stay up, it felt so right
We were so young
We were so dumb
We would get drunk
And then hook up
We were ok
We were alright
Stayin' awake
'Til the sunrise
We were in love
Couldn't stop us
Like a good drug (yeah)
Never enough

We'd hook up in my car
Drive it so far
Play your guitar
You'd show me your art
Let down our guards
Think with our hearts
Stare at the stars
We were never apart
Drinking too young
Way too much fun
Out in the sun
Or in when it's gone
Took you to prom
Dance to our song
Dance all night long
'Til the lights come on

Ash sang first, bringing the audience to a sense of calm, though she could feel the emotion that Sal had put into these lyrics and she felt she was saying goodbye to Larry as well.

But it's too late now
I remember everything
And how careless we could be
But it's too late now
I remember you and me
And how careless we could be

Sal picked it up after her, putting all of his emotion into his words. He closed his eyes as he sang, knowing that if he opened them, tears would surly fall.

It's too late now
I remember everything
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be

Late nights
Long fights
It felt right
We were alive
We would go out
We were so loud
We were so proud
We had no doubts
Weekends
And week days
We'd spend our own way
We were careless
We were fearless
We were reckless
Time was precious

We loved to waste time
Whiskey and wine
Drinking all night
Asleep by your side
Finally alive
We would just drive
Never arrive
Our journey was life
Staying out late
Testing our faith
Running away
We lived for today
Young and so bold
Never get old
Screw what we're told
We can't be controlled

But it's too late now
I remember everything
And how careless we could be
But it's too late now
I remember you and me
And how careless we could be

As Sal sang for the final time, he felt two arms wrap around him, though they were still playing so it couldn't have been Ash, Todd, or Neil. He opened his eyes and turned his head slightly, seeing a familiar face, sure he was see-through, but he was there nonetheless. Larry was there, he was still with him. "I'm sorry, Sal. I love you," the ghost said.

It's too late now
I remember everything
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be
And how careless we could be

It's too late now
I remember you and me
And how careless we could be

As Ash's voice rang out to finish the song, the crowd cheered and Sal kept his eyes on the ghost. "I loved my song. Don't join me on this side too soon, kay?" Larry's ghost said, and he was gone as soon as he came.

Tears flew down Sal's cheeks as he turned back to the cheering crowd, and he smiled. A genuine smile that he never thought would show up ever again.

"Goodbye, Larry."
