You were now walking back to the monitoring room alongside Kirishima, and Tsu and Tokoyami walking a little ahead.

Luckily no one got hurt during the battle, but Kirishima's pride seem to have taken a hit.

"Hey what's up, you look all gloomy?"

"It's just that... I didn't even do anything. You did all the work and I just stood around when I could have been down there helping you. I bet even if I wasn't there you could have still won on your own." He said having a sad smile and looking down at the ground as he walked.

You felt bad for him, I mean ya he's right that you could have won on your own but still. You didn't really think about how he would feel when you decided to take care of everything yourself.

Placing your hand on his shoulder you give him a soft smile "hey even if you didn't do anything, you were still an important part of this team. If I was the only one and they managed to beat me they would have won instantly. You were there as a guard, the defense while I was on the offensive. Even though it didn't get to the point where we had to play defense you were still there just in case and that's what matters. A kingdom would fall if it didn't have its guards to protect it."

His face lit up from your words, now realizing how much of an asset he truly was. "Ya you're probably right thanks Briefs!" Now showing a genuine smile you can tell your words got through to him.

"Don't mention it, and you can just call me y/n I think we're good enough friends by now."

"Alright! Oh also you said you would tell me later how you knew about my hair?"

"Oh ya, it's just that I saw you walking with a group of people the day of the entrance exam. We just passed by each other and I was trying to figure out why you felt so familiar but that's the reason."

"Oh that's where I first saw you! I had the same feeling that I saw you somewhere before!"

Now talking about random things you arrive at the monitoring room.

"Welcome back students! You all did outstanding! Now it's time to discuss the things that happened and learn what you can all improve on next time!"

After discussing who got MVP, which turned out to be Kirishima for the same reasons I told him. At first the class was trying to vote for me, but I knew that I wasn't giving it my all and I was just toying with them. If I was to actually defend something I would get rid of the opponents as quickly as possible.

So inside I vouched for Kirishima and they all agreed.

Now going to take a seat next to Bakugo where I was sitting before, he still looks sullen, maybe even more so now than before. It appears as if he's deep in thought.

Not wanting to disturb or anger him, you quietly take your seat and just watch the last fight play out on the screen.

~Time skip~

"Well done young heroes! You all fought spectacularly, now you can all go home and get some rest!"

As All Might dismissed us, we all headed back to the main campus to change out of our costumes and grab our things to head home.

Upon entering the classroom, you find Midoriya asking Uraraka where Bakugo had gone to. Realizing now that he is in fact gone, you hear he say he already left, and just like that Midoriya bolts out of the classroom, still in his hero costume as he just woke up from being in the nurses office.

You go up to the window that shows outside to the main entrance, there you see bakugo walking away, and just a moment later you see Midoriya show up and is speaking to Bakugo.

Words were exchanged between the two but you obviously weren't able to hear them. Bakugo starts trembling as he holds back tears.

"It's a battle between fated rivals" Uraraka says beside you looking out as well.

In a way she's right, it does seem that they are determined to beat each other, but you have the feeling more emotions are at play here.

"Huh? Hey y/n where are you going?"

Before you can even think about what you're doing you run down the hall and jump down the stairs, now running outside and past Midoriya.

"BAKUGO!"

He comes to a stop just on the outside of the gate and around the corner. He flinched slightly when you yelled to him, but he didn't turn around to look at you.

"What do you want dumbass, I'm not in the mood to deal with anyone so you better make it quick" he says looking down at the floor with his hands shoved in his pockets.

"Listen, I don't know what's going on in your head other than the fact that you're pissed at the fight you had. But I know that you're better than that, I don't care about what a stupid battle trial says, in the end of the fight you won. When it was you and Midoriya at the end you were the one who was still standing while he was out cold and had to be taken away on a stretcher."

You really don't know what came over, but something about the way he looked so defeated really struck a cord in you.

"Is that what you came to me for, to tell me I'm overreacting and that the whole thing was bullshit?!" He now turned to look at you with a scowl and tears welling in his eyes.

You look at him giving him a soft smile "that's not what I meant and you know that. You may be a hothead but that doesn't make you stupid."

Hey clicked his tongue and turned away to continue walking.

Before he can take more than only a few steps though, you grab his jacket sleeve to hold him in place, he turns back to scowl at you again but is caught off guard by your words.

"I believe in you, that you'll be a great hero someday."

Bakugo feels his face get warm and his heart starts to race. He's had people tell him that before, but with you it felt more genuine rather than the others who just wanted to stroke his ego. He can tell when someone is bull shitting him, but you weren't doing that at all.

You let go of his sleeve and give him a bright smile "even if things go wrong sometimes I'll still believe in you. I know you can push through things, you have a strong fighter's spirit!"
