"Are you sure that it shall be the same day?" Alicent asked with a soft smile on her face. She and Daenys were seated in the Maester's chambers, for their weekly check-up.

"You have to understand that these things do have a speck of doubt, but I am positive that you two shall birth your babes on the same day." Grand Maester Mellos said.

The Queen and the Princess smiled at that and squeezed each other's hands. It had been four years since the birth of Daerion.

During those four years, Alicent and Viserys had been married and had their son Aegon, who would be turning two in the next week. Rhaenyra and Alicent's relationship had become strained. Daenys pitied Alicent, she also felt guilty for condemning the girl to this life, therefore she took the Queen under her wing.

"That is marvellous. Hopefully, this is a sign that the two shall be great friends." Daenys said smiling. "Maester, are you able to predict the genders?"

Mellos hummed in contemplation, "My Princess, there is no clear way to predict the sex of the baby. The only thing that can remotely tell us the genders are wives' tales."

"And?" Alicent asked.

"Well, you both crave sweets, you eat garlic but don't smell like it. Both of your bumps are high, I'd say you're both carrying girls." Mellos declared. Daenys smiled at the prospect. She had a son, now she wanted a daughter.

The Queen and The Princess exited the Maesters' chambers together and engaged in conversation. "Are you sure that you do not wish to come for the hunt? The Maester said the fresh air would do the babe good." Alicent asked.

"I am sure it will be a most glorious affair, your Grace. However, my grandsire's health is declining and I wish to spend his last moments with him."

"Pappy!" Daerion squealed as he was picked up by Daeneth. "Let your Pappy rest." Aenar took Daerion from Daeneth's arms, while Daenys helped her grandfather into a chair.

"You act as if I am going to drop dead," Daeneth grumbled.

"The Maester's say that is very much a possibility." Daenys chided.

Daeneth rolled his eyes. "Well, if it is such a possibility, I wish to spend whatever time I have left with my great-grandson. As well as my unborn great-grandchild." He said touching the bump.

"I wish I could live longer. This child is to inherit Blackliff, become the Paramount of the skies, and Warden of the Narrow Sea. I should have some impact on it's life."
