Clone Wars

Separatist Command Center, Co'rak City

As soon as the Republic's clone army began the invasion, Colonel Simio of the Confederate Volunteer Corps knew she could not defend her home alone. A stern-faced, no-nonsense Mirialan, Liqa Simio commanded the CVC forces stationed on planet Mirial. When the Republic ships first dropped out of hyperspace, many of her men were excited to defend their homeworld, but her first command was to call for reinforcements. Hopefully, the droid forces they already had would last them long enough until those reinforcements arrived. Though the fleet still battled Republic star destroyers in orbit, the clones still managed to land ground forces. So Simio summoned her fellow strategists and commanders for a meeting, and they gathered around a holotable. "Major Ved, your report?" she asked. "We have determined that the Republic's forward command center is located in the foothills." one of the officers explained, "A hyena squadron revealed the base's location, but was shot down." Simio nodded. "Good, that'll be valuable information for our reinforcements." Though they held their tongues, Simio could tell that the officers were doubtful. Before they could discuss their next move, an attendant whispered something in Simio's ear, eliciting a rare grin. "We are receiving a transmission from a Confederate frequency." she announced, typing a command into the holotable, which then projected a hologram of a Human in Confederate colors. "Admiral Kirkpatrick!" Simio exclaimed, saluting. Rear Admiral Joseph Kirkpatrick had been recently rewarded by Count Dooku himself for helping to turn the tide on Sarrish. "Colonel Simio. We received your call for reinforcements, and we are only a few hours away." Joseph said. Simio sighed with relief. "We cannot thank you enough Sir. You have my eternal gratitude. We have some intelligence for you, including the location of the Republic's forward command center." she replied, sending the data to him. A few moments later, the Admiral grinned. "Thank you. This'll be very useful. I look forward to meeting you." he replied, saluting her before terminating the signal. "You see? The Force provides." Simio said to her men, who seemed as relieved as she was. They then wasted no time in preparing to hold off the Galactic Republic's assault.
