The democratic union and federation emerging from the Eternal Freedom Alliance, or just called the EFA merged with core imperial remnants and warlords that later formed the Dominion of Allied Empires, with Delvargus Jordan Kong Junior as the Supreme Chancellor of the various versions of the Galactic Republic's and Chief of State of the Galactic Alliance and his government which is made up mostly by the New Republic Senate, according to the Charter of the New Republic, both as seats of governments would rotate to the home-world, or campaign world of the respected elected Chancellors. This way Chandrila became the first New Republic Capital and the New Republic, believing the Imperial Remnants in accord of the Galactic Concordat would do the same massively began to disband their military. It's main goal was the reinstalling of democracy after decades of Imperial Rule and Galactic Civil War, but first former Chancellor Mon Mothma had no easy task while the Imperial forces remaining attempted to rally back together to form One Empire under Imperial Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax were pursued by New Republic forces to prevent this from happening.

Despite the Galactic Pellaeon Garvirsom Treaty however some Imperial Remnants and Imperial Holdouts, especially those in the Outer Rim Territories and the Unknown Regions did not recognize the treaty, but at the same time were to small, disunited and shattered to pose and remaining threat to the New Republic. Leaving them alone however would allow many of them to regain footholds in these territories, something the Core and Colony Worlds of the New Republic refused to believe until it was nearly to late. With partly absorption into the New Republic and somewhat coexisting with remaining Imperial Remnants and Holdotus, the so called Galactic Cold War was beginning to spark.
