The next few months were uneventful, it was mainly filled with study for the end of year exams, though I managed to fully learn Legilimens with Dumbledore! Although I haven't perfected it yet, I should be able to cast it on an object, and it's time to tell my friends about it.

I take out the Marauder's map to locate them. Alex is in the Dungeons with Snape, and Asteria is in the Room of Requirement. Perfect. I quickly make my way down into the depths of the dungeon. I knock softly on the door before allowing myself into Snape's office, a smile on my face. "Excuse me, Professor. Might I borrow Alex?" I ask as politely as I can. "Mr. Grey, impeccable timing... as usual... We were just finishing." Snape replies, sternly. "Perfect." I grin as I beckon Alex over. Alex approaches me, cautiously. I roll my eyes, grabbing his arm and dragging him out of the room with me. "We're going to the Room of Requirement." I inform him as we walk up the spiral staircase. "Hello to you too, Atticus." Alex spoke softly. "...Hi." I say just as softly back to him as we continue towards the seventh floor. We stay silent until we reach Asteria, reading quietly to herself. "Asteria." I speak up, closing the door behind Alex and me. I see Asteria jump slightly at the sudden sound of my voice. "Jeez, Atticus.." She mutters, closing the book in her lap. I usher Alex to take a seat next to her as I stand before them. "So, seeing as we all haven't seen much of each other as of late, I wanted to tell you a few things.." "Atti, what's going on? You're making me anxious.." Alex spoke, looking up at me. "Yeah, I've never seen you this serious, before." Asteria agreed. "Oh." I say with a sigh. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be.. there's just a lot on my plate at the moment.. I've had Dumbledore help me with something that I'd like to share with the both of you." I say, a smile growing on my face, now.

"I've found a way for us to communicate, without the use of owls or actually seeing each other. Especially when we're home for the summer." I say, looking at Asteria in particular.  "Though.. I just need something all three of us can use.." "Wait, what's this about?" Alex asks, leaning forward slightly. "Occlumency; more specifically, Legilimency. It is, simply put, a spell that allows one to see into other people's minds. But it can do so much more than that! Godrick Gryffindor used it on the Sorting Hat to make it sentient. But I believe I could cast it on an object, or multiple objects at once, to be able to use them to communicate with each other!" "Well, what objects do you need to use it on?" Asteria asks, tilting her head slightly to my right. "I was thinking a few books.. or journals. Something like that." "I have a few journals my mother gave me at the start of the year, haven't written in them yet, will they do?" Asteria beams. "That would be perfect!" I grin wildly. Asteria nods. "Accio journals." She says with a wave of her wand, the books flying into the room a few moments later, landing in her lap, on top of the book she had been reading earlier. "Everyone, take a book and write your name on the inside." I instruct, taking one of the journals as Asteria hands one to me, before pulling out my fancy quill. I open up the journal and write my name on the inside. 'Atticus Dorian Cedric Diggory-Grey'. I watch the others sign their names before they hand theirs to me. 'Alexander Gabriel Dougall Robert McGonagall.'  and 'Asteria Lux Malfoy.'

I focus hard, trying to recall everything Professor Dumbledore has taught me. The incantation rolls off my tongue as the books begin to float up off of the table. The journals start spinning clockwise, speeding up faster and faster before stopping suddenly and sinking back to the table with some kind of bright light emanating from between them. The light fades as the journals hit the table, flicking open to the centre leaf. The others stare in astonishment. "That should do it.." I speak lethargically, the magic having taken a bit of a toll on me. I take my quill and journal, and write a simple 'Hi.' in my sparkly blue ink. "Check your books." I say eagerly. "It worked! Holy Merlin, it actually worked!" Alex exclaims, jumping out of his seat. "That was incredible, Atticus!" Asteria praises me. I do a little dance of accomplishment on the spot. Alex runs up to me, gently ruffling my hair with his knuckles. "You're a god-damn magical genius man!" Alex spouts with a laugh. I should remember to thank Dumbledore later. "You know I'm gonna be trash at replying to these, right?" Alex jokes. "I'll do my best." He continues with a smile. I smile back at him with a nod. "It'll vibrate any time you get a message with the book closed." I inform them. I pull my journal and quill to my chest and nod. "I'm gonna go nap. I'm exhausted." I say with a light chuckle before exiting the room.
