The hustle and bustle of the Great Hall erupt for dinner today. Sir Nicholas was - well, technically not alive, but you know what I mean. "Welcome back, Sir Nicholas!" Luna called out as I take a seat next to her at our house table. "Thank you!" he replies as he floats down the room. "Hermione! Welcome back!" I hear him say from the entrance of the room. My ears perk up. "Hermione?" I say to myself, seeing her standing there. I smile brightly, happy to see her up and about. I see her run down the aisles over to Harry and Ron, giving Harry the biggest hug I think I have ever seen, before giving Ron a small handshake. I watch them chat for a moment before hearing a glass being tapped. "Could I have your attention?" Professor McGonagall announces as the trio take their seats. Dumbledore stands. "Before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout and Madam Pomphrey whose Mandrake juice has been successfully administered to all who had been petrified." The room is filled with applause. "Also in light of recent events as a school treat, all exams have been cancelled!" The room erupts in applause again, though I sigh. All that studying for nothing.

The applause was interrupted by large footsteps entering the Great Hall. "Sorry I'm late." A familiar, friendly voice calls. "The owl that delivered my release papers got all lost and confused. Some ruddy bird called Errol." The half-giant speaks, walking down the aisles. I see him stop at Harry, Ron and Hermione and speak softly to them, something I can't quite hear. I then see Harry stand, looking up at him. "There's no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid." He says softly before giving him a big hug. I can't help but shed a tear as Dumbledore begins clapping. Then one by one the patrons of the room join in, applauding and cheering for our favourite groundskeeper. I feel a comforting hand on my back as the tears roll, to see Luna by my side. She gives me a hug. I cry a little more.

Time to go home. I pack my things and say goodbye to Alex with Asteria before boarding the Carriages heading to the train station. "Mental year.." Asteria mumbles, looking out at the black lake as we travel via carriage. "Many more to come." I say with a grin, patting her on the shoulder. She turns to me and smiles softly. "You're a bad influence on me, Grey." "You love it." I retort. "Yeah, I do." She admits with a laugh.

On the train ride home, I sit with Harry, Ron and Hermione for the first half, then with Luna for the second half of the trip. I tell her stories about the events of my first and second year at Hogwarts, she's captivated by every word.

I'm totally gonna be in so much trouble when I get home.

Oh, well.

Oh, well
