"Could I have your attention, please?" Professor McGonagall calls as Transfiguration class is now in session. "Right. Now, today, we will be transforming animals into water goblets. Like so..." She walks over to a bird perched on her desk. "One, two, three. Vera Verto." The bird does indeed turn into a goblet, wow! "Now it's your turn. Who would like to go first? Ah! Mr. Weasley. One, two, three. Vera Verto." She instructs.
Ron nods and clears his throat. He taps three times before saying the incantation; "Vera Verto." A green light shoots out of his wand, transforming the rat in front of him into a half rat, half goblet abomination. The surrounding kids all chuckle amongst themselves, though my mind is fixated on the fact that a green light came out of his wand. I've read about curses, and green beams of light are usually associated with them. Interesting. "That wand needs replacing, Mr. Weasley." McGonagall announces before turning towards Hermione, who now has her hand up. "Yes, Miss Granger?" Hermione lowers her hand and takes a breath. "Professor... I was wondering if you could tell us about the Chamber of Secrets.." The class grows silent now. No one had really spoken about last night, but we're all still pretty shaken up about it.
"Very well. You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Three of the founders co-existed quite harmoniously. One did not." McGonagall explains. "Three guesses who.." Ron whispers to Harry from behind me.
"Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed that magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. In other words, pure-bloods. Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school. According to legend, Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle, known as the Chamber of Secrets. Shortly before departing, he sealed it until that time when his own true heir returned to the school. The heir alone would be able to open the Chamber of Secrets and unleash the horror within, and by so doing, purge the school of all those who, in Slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic.""Muggle borns." Hermione says softly. "Yes." McGonagall nods. "Naturally, the school has been searched many times. No such chamber has been found." "Professor, what exactly does legend tell us lies within the Chamber?" Hermione asks, seeming to ask the questions that were on everyone's mind. "The Chamber is said to be home to something that only the heir of Slytherin alone can control. It is said to be home... to a monster." There's a sudden eerie chill in the air. A monster hidden somewhere in the castle? Merlin's Beard..

Today is the first quidditch match of the season, and although Ravenclaw isn't playing, the whole school is hype for it. Especially Luna. She looks so cute in both Slytherin and Gryffindor attire, supporting both houses. "Le-" I stop myself, clearing my throat. "Good morning, Luna." I say sheepishly, an immediate blush on my cheeks. She smiles to me and my heart melts. "Morning, Atticus! Are you excited for quidditch, today?" She asks me, looking into my eyes. I gulp, hoping not to choke on my words. "Uh.. Yeah, I'm excited to see who wins." I smile back to her, feeling a scurry down the back of my shirt, tickling and scaring the crap out of me. I yelp a little, my body jolting wildly as the furry creature crawls out of my pant leg and over to Luna. "Bandit..!" I exclaim, out of breath from my little jiggle. "Aw, how adorable!" Luna smiles, picking him up. "This is your pet?" She asks me, petting his head with her index finger. "Yeah, he is.." I smile again, Bandit seems to have taken a liking to Luna, which is rare for him. She hands Bandit back to me. "I'll see you out there." She grins before skipping away. Bandit runs up my chest and nestles himself in my hair, as usual. I sigh softly, fixing my clothes before heading down to the quidditch pitch.
I stand next to Luna and Cho on the sidelines as we cheer on the teams. I see Harry and the Weasley twins on Gryffindors team and The Malfoy twins on Slytherins. I cheer for them all, except for Draco. Little piss-pants can get screwed. The game goes on as any normal quidditch game does, until the bludger starts acting strange, it starts chasing after Harry! He swerves and swoops, but the bludger won't stop. It chases Harry for what seems like hours, even when he and Draco begin chasing after the snitch. They both fly under the bleachers with the rogue bludger in tow until Draco flies out from under the bleachers without his broom and lands on his butt. I want to laugh, but it looks like it really hurts. Harry flies back out, inches away from the snitch, he holds out his hand, but the bludger smashes right into it! He loses control of the broom for a moment but steadies himself, holding out the other hand. In usual Harry Potter fashion, he falls, scraping along the sand with momentum until he stops. Harry lifts his arm, snitch in hand. The Quidditch commentator, Lee Jordan, calls out. "Harry Potter has caught the Snitch. Gryffindor wins!"
A lot of us make our way down, checking if Harry is okay, but the bludger still trying to attack him. "Finite Incantatem!" I call out, waving my wand, the bludger exploding in the air. "Thank you.." Harry groans in pain. "Are you okay?" Hermione asks as a crowd of people begin to run over. "No.. I think my arm is broken.." Gilderoy Lockhart himself runs over and kneels next to Harry. "Not to worry, Harry." He speaks heroically. "I will fix that arm of yours straight away." "No." Harry protests. "Not you.." Lockhart tuts. "Boy doesn't know what he's saying." He says, rolling up Harry's sleeve. "Now, this won't hurt a bit.. Brackium Emendo!" He exclaims, a bright light illuminating around Harry's arm. He looks accomplished, dropping his wand before picking up Harry's arm. The arm moves like a dead fish, limp and lifeless. The crowd groans. "Yeah, well, that can sometimes happen... um.. but the point is..-" Lockhart spoke, bending the hand all the way back at the wrist, the arm squelching. I almost vomit. "-you can no longer feel any pain, and, very clearly, the bones are not broken." "Broken?!" Asteria interjects. "There's no bones left!" "..Much more flexible though.." Lockhart mumbles, the arm flopping back over. Hagrid picks up Harry and carries him to the Hospital wing.
