"Learn from experienced writers."

Although we are in the middle of our literary journey, or still in the beginning, listening to the advice of experts is very important. The knowledge and experiences they imparted are useful for our growth. We must observe their ways of writing, the dos and don'ts, so we can extract good examples and eventually, apply them to our own. That is why, it is necessary for us to read writing tips or blogs from professionals and watch videos from successful writers. If you are able, attending the masterclass and seminars is also a plus. Even if we say that we are so good already, the wisdom of those experienced ones hit differently. Self-reliance should be set aside in order to improve in this field. The Scripture reminds us, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice."

Heeding the advice of triumphant writers is like fertilizer to corn. The bearer of the fertilizer is the triumphant writer, the fertilizer is the advice, and we are the corn. The fertilizer helps us to flourish, and one day, to bear fruits productively if we are receptive to the suggestions of the bearer; or else, we will get malnourished and stagnant if we are hardheaded. By listening to the counsel of the wise, we will also be wise.
