"Treat problems as new plots."As human, when we encounter trials, our first reaction will be, "Why me, Lord?" The fact is nobody wants to undergo pain. But as I aged, I realized, God uses problems to draw me closer to His side, to become a better person. In writing, I view my daily struggles as new plots to scribble. Therefore, if you're running out of ideas to write, look back on your surpassed struggles or even current discomforts, to include wholly or partially in your crafts. Why go farther when it is at hand already? Our hardships are inevitable and part of our lives. Thus, being writers, we should not be frustrated every time we face those trials in life. However, it is wise to use them to create new stories, to be the subjects of our poems, and to be the lessons we will share to anyone else.
As the popular saying goes, "Train yourself to see the good in every bad." So instead of complaining, "Lord, why me?" change your mindset to, "Lord, what is the message you want me to convey?" As what Rick Warren says, "God never wastes pain for nothing." He allows suffering for a reason. Draw strength from God; for it is always available. We must use pain to be a vessel of His mercy and grace—to reach numerous hearts. May this be our writing perspective: The more problems to come, the more crafts to compose.
