"What is it boy?" Beowulf asks turning to Jay.
"Really? Acting so high and mighty? If you really think you're so high and mighty how don't you know about the prophecy books?"
"Prophecy books?"
"Yeah?" He holds out the book he was reading earlier. I spot the page opened it's a quick translation, but it basically talks about the older twin (I am assuming that means me) returning to save the kingdom from the emperor's reign. He smiles and says, "see it says it right there. We win and you lose."
"What the hell?"

"This... where did you get it?" Vala asks.
"Um... well... your library?" He asks. She sighs with relief.
"Oh... so you got it from her? I mean... I don't know that I'd consider her the most trustworthy source," Beowulf says softly.

"Oh really?" Jay asks leaning forwards.
"I mean... the incident would've been considered TREASON!"

"Shut up!" Vala growls.
"Oh, and you don't deny it."
"You have taunted me with it for all this time!"
"What?" I ask.

"And yet you've yet to say anything about it?" He asks.
"SHUT UP!!!" Vala screams. He spits.

"Oh... oh... oh... I'd suggest getting out of my sight before I claim it happened again 'hero of the village.' We wouldn't want that, would we?"

"... come on... let's go," Vala growls. Connak goes to punch Beowulf, but Jay grabs his arm and pulls him back. We walk to Vala's house but Jay and Connak don't fully follow.

Connak's POV

Jay leads me into some denser forest and sighs, "Connak you can't keep doing this."
"I'm sorry... it's just hearing that asshat talk about Lady Vala like that... it just made me snap."
"I know... me too but we've gotta keep our cool, okay?"
"Okay... but what if he's planning something?"
"We can listen in... I think we'll be leaving at nightfall anyways but yeah let's go back to the house."
I nod and go to follow Jay, but I pause... what's he saying? I walk closer and listen in, "Yes, my emperor, I have found her... well them... the 'true queens' are both in fact here... the army will be here are nightfall? Good, and Vala will meet her demise there too? Good, good, she deserves it for not choosing me and choosing that stupid centaur... I'll make sure she PAYS along with the 'true queens'."

I feel myself gasp I run to the house and shout, "guys, we've gotta start packing NOW!"
"What?" Vala asks.
"Lady Vala, Mayor Beowulf plans to have you killed along with Alaina and Prissy."
"Hmph?!?" Vala asks.

"I just heard him say it."
"That's what took you so long," Jay says.

"Yeah... we need to go... now!"
"NO!" Vala growls.
"W--What?" I ask.

"I will not abandon my home because of him... I finally got the truth out of Dorantos and I remember it all now... Beowulf will NOT make me lose anything else," She growls loudly.
"What's going on?" Alaina asks tiredly.
"It's nothing, my princess, you should be resting," Vala says softly.
"What?"
"It's fine," Vala says softly.
"Okay."
Alaina walks into the bedroom. Prissy comes back and looks over, "Vala, I can't let him kill you."
"My princess, it's okay. I believe everything will be okay."
"I don't think so... we all need to get outta here."
"Fine... I shall pack as well."
"Thank you."
Her eyes sag and her body shakes. She hears something, "they are coming from the fortress a lot of them... too many of them."
"Vala... you have fought more than a hundred men at once, have you not?"
"Yes, my princess."
"You've fought more than two thousand dark elves at once, have you not?"
"Yes."
"We can do this now."
Her voice is loud enough to distract others as I listen and hear something behind me. I see River.

"Hey, they're preparing a fire. Her voice was loud enough to keep my chants hidden and Sir Dorantos is looking to see Lady Vala."
"Oh, okay."
"River?" Prissy asks.
