Chapter 47 -Babysitting-

(Cheryl's POV)

The front doorbell echoed through the house, "I'll get it," I told Toni to ask. I got up from the couch, and she gave me a nod in response. I made my way to the door and opened it up to be greeted by a man, the splitting image of Toni holding the hand of a younger girl. I smiled.

"AUNTIE CHER!" The girl squealed as she ran and hugged my legs. I bent down to greet her.

"Hey, Ava!" I wrapped my arms around her. I picked her up from where she was and turned back to Toby.

"Thank you for looking after her for the night; Spence and I haven't had a date night in a long time," Toby laughed.

"It's our pleasure, plus I wouldn't want to give up time with Ava," I tickled her lightly, getting a giggle out of her.

Toby dropped Ava's bag in the doorway, "Everything you need is in there. Her PJs, sets of clothes and even her toothbrush," he said. I smiled and nodded along, "Well, we better get going, and thank you again," He said as he waved us off and met Spencer back in his car. I closed the front door and placed Ava down on the floor.

"Ava, why don't you run and take your bag to the guest bedroom," I stated. She smiled, clasped her bag in her hand, and sprinted down the hallway.

When she walked back, she met Toni and me in the living room, "Hi, Auntie T," Ava ran up to her. Toni grabbed her and sat Ava on her lap.

"Afternoon, kiddo. You ready for the BEST sleepover with me and Aunt Cher," Toni bounced her.

"YAYAY!" the younger girl responded. My god, I can see the resemblance between Toni in Ava... I wonder what our kids would look like... Wait, does Toni even want kids in the future? We've never really talked about it. What if she doesn't want kids?

"Babe?" I heard Toni say. I struggled out of my thoughts. "You okay?"

"Oh yeah, sorry, was just lost in thought," I grinned slightly.

"Aunties, where's Leo?" Ava asked.

"He's outside, honey. Why'd you get your Auntie to take you out there while I make us a snack," I said as Toni picked the child up and sat her on her back, giving her a piggyback all the way to the backyard. I could hear the giggles from the young child and my fiancé.

I walked into the kitchen and gathered some fruit out of the fridge. I cut up most of the fruit and placed it together on a platter. I washed my hands and then proceeded to walk the plate outside. I walked out and saw Ava on Toni's shoulders as Leo chased them around the yard. I couldn't help but smile to myself. This is what I am marrying into. I placed the plate on the table.

"AUNT CHER-CHER, COME JOIN US!!!" Ava yelled in excitement.

I giggled and ran over to them. Toni placed Ava onto the floor, and she ran to grab one of Leo's toys. Toni walked over to the food as I watched and played with Ava and Leo.

Leo started to get tired, and I could tell that Ava was too, so as I walked over to where Toni was sitting, I placed Ava onto her lap, and she started to eat the fruit that was on the plate. Leo was sitting under our legs, and I gave him a couple of discharged pieces of fruit. I looked down at my phone and saw the time 4:30pm. "Ava, why doesn't Auntie Tee-Tee take you for a nap, and I can later make you your favourite for dinner? How does that sound," I told her; Ava nodded tiredly.

Toni picked her up and kissed my cheek on the way inside. I waited for Leo and brought him inside aswell along with the rubbish. I grabbed Leo's food and placed it in his pen in the lounge room.

After around twenty minutes, I noticed that Toni had not come back from Ava's room, so I went to go and check on them. I walked down the hallway and into the guest room. It was a sight for sore eyes. Ava was lying on Toni's chest, and Ava and my pink-haired fiancé had fallen fast asleep. It made me so happy. I silently walked over to them and kissed both of their cheeks. I walked out of the room and closed the door.
