Chapter 32 -I have to go-

--Skips A Week-- (They're graduating next week)

(Cheryl's POV)

"Cheryl, Cheryl. Wake up," I heard as I slowly woke up from my sleep. I looked up to see a very worried Toni standing over me. "We have to go,"

I was confused, "What. What's going on," I said sitting up.

"Toby just called. Spencer just went into labour," Toni said. My eyes widen.

"Wait really?" I asked in disbelief.

Yes. I have to go to the hospital," she said getting off the bed and going to my closet to get herself something to wear.

"I'm coming with you," I said walking next to her.

"You don't need to," she said eyeing me from the side.

"No, I want to," I said as she gave me a smile. She pulled a pair of shorts and a jumper as she moved out of the closet, I moved in. I grabbed a pair of sweat pants and Toni's jumper, that I stole. She grabbed her phone as I did mine. I checked the time. 4:30 AM. Toni grabbed my car keys and went downstairs. I walked into Archie's bedroom. I walked to the side of his bed, "Arch," I said. "Archie," I said again as he began to wake up. "Toni just got a call from Toby. Spencer just went into labour. Me and Toni have to leave now," I whispered.

Archie shot up, "Do you want me to come?"

"No, it's fine, I'll call you after," I said. He nodded and kissed my cheek. I walked out of his room and down the stairs to see Toni grabbing two water bottles out of the fridge.

"You ready?" she asked me.

"Give me a second. Let me tell my mum," I told her. Toni nodded and walked to the front door. I turned into the corridor to my mother's bedroom.

"Mum," I whispered. "Mum," I said a little louder. She slowly sat up.

"Everything alright?" she said tiredly.

"Spencer went into labour. Me and Toni are going to the hospital now," I told her.

She nodded, "Do you want me to drive you two there?" she asked.

"No, it's fine. She's waiting for me in the car now. I'll text you after," I said.

"Alright, be safe," she said kissing my cheek as well. I walked out of the room and outside. I saw Toni in the car on the phone.

I walked to the passenger side and heard her talking to someone, "Okay Tobs, see you," she said putting the phone away. She looked at me as I opened the car door. "It's going to be a long night," she sighed. "Wanna go to Pop's and get something to eat?" she asked me. I smiled and nodded as I got into the car. Toni gave me a little kiss on the cheek before she pulled out of the driveway.

We hopped out of the car and walked into Pops. The place looked dead. We saw Pop Tate at the table.

"Hey, kids. What are you doing here so early?"

"My brother and his wife are having their baby," Toni told him with a smile.

"Oh. Well, good luck. Here's a table for two," he smiled showing us the table.

"Thank you," we both said.

"I'll give you girls a moment to order," Pop said before walking off back to the front of the shop.

As we sat down in the booth, I could hear Toni's foot-tapping underneath the table as I looked up at her face and a small smile crept upon her face. "What you thinking bout babe?" I asked her with a smile.

"Just life and how it is," she said. I cocked my head to the side. "Ya know. How in a couple of hours, I'm gonna be an aunty," she said with a smile, which caused me to smile too. "And who would have thought nearly a year ago that I would be in love with a girl that is way out of my league but somehow loves me back," she smiled bigger making me blush.

"I'm never going to be out of your league," I smiled grabbed her hand over the table and giving a little squeeze. I let go of her hand and looked back at the menu. "So, what are you going to get?" I asked her.

"I'm just gonna get a cheeseburger. You?" she laughed.

"Umm, I'm going to get a chicken salad," I responded. "Oh, and a strawberry milkshake please," I pouted. Toni let out a little chuckle. Toni nodded and got up from the table. She kissed my cheek and walked past me to the front of the shop to where Pop's was standing.

A few seconds later Toni came back down to the table and sat back in her seat. Then her phone went off.

She pulled out her phone and read the notification, "It's from Toby. He said that Spencer just got admitted into the delivery room," Toni said reading the messages.

"We'll leave after we eat," I told her as Pop's brought us our food.

We ate fast before we headed back to my car. Toni began to drive to the hospital.

We got to the hospital fast. Toni parked the car at the front before exiting the driver's seat. I got out of the car to be met with Toni waiting for me. She grabbed my hand as we walked together into the hospital. Together we moved towards the reception desk. "Hi, I was wonder if you could tell me where Spencer Topaz's room is?" Toni asked the lady behind the desk. She smiled at us before she starting typing on her computer.

"Right now, she is in the Delivery room, but you can wait in the lobby if you want?" she told us. We both nodded, "It's on the second floor," the woman smiled.

"Thank you," I said as me and Toni walked off to the elevator. I pushed the up arrow and after a second the door opened. We walked inside hand in hand as she pressed the '2' button. The door closed and the elevator shot up. The doors opened again to reveal a white, open room with about a dozen chairs. Over in the corner of the room was Toni's dad and what I guess where Spencer's parents. Me and Toni both walked out of the elevator and walked over to the small group.

Mr Topaz got up from his seat and walked over to us. Toni let go of my hand and met her dad halfway and gave him a short hug him. "Hey, is she okay?" she asked him.

"Yeah, Toby said she's still not ready yet. But she's okay," he replied.

"Uh, dad this is my girlfriend Cheryl," Toni said looking at me with a smile. I looked at her dad and smiled at him.

"Ah, Cheryl. Toni's told me so much about you," he smiled. As Toni blushed.

"Same goes for you," I smiled at him. The three of us walked over to Spencer's parents. Each one giving Toni a hug.

"Mary, Peter. This is Cheryl," Toni said to the couple.

Mary looked at me, "So nice to meet you," she said shaking my hand as Peter did the same. I smiled. We all sat down onto the chairs. I leant my head against Toni's shoulder.

"You know the last time we were here, you where in that motorbike accident," I whispered.

"Uh, yes. The night you kissed me for the first time," she replied.

"Scariest night of my life," I murmured.

"Never going anywhere," she replied and kissed the top of my head.
