--Skips a week after Graduation (Two Days Before Moving)--
(Cheryl's POV)
I lined the last cardboard box with sticky tape and closed it. I picked it up and walked downstairs and placed it on top of the other 12 boxes. "The moving truck is here," I heard my mother say from the door. She was still sad that both of her children are moving out, but she knows that we will come and visit, and she can always visit us.
Slowly my mum and Archie helped me move all the boxes into the truck. On Monday morning Toni and I have to leave home at 5:00 AM to get to Greendale. Toby said that he would bring Toni's motorbike over on Wednesday, so we have my car for two days. Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead are leaving on Tuesday their apartment near Harvard. The truck left to go to Toni's house to pick up her boxes. Toni was really lucky and sold her trailer to a young serpent that needed it. Considering that we'll be living in Greendale for about two years, she didn't need it anymore. Plus, it was extra money that she could use. Classes start in 2 months, which is scary, but I think we can handle it.
I called up Veronica and Betty to go to Pop's before I left. I wanted to spend a day together before we went our separate ways.
I drove to Pop's to meet the two girls. Inside they were sitting in our usual booth. "Hey, Cher," Veronica smiled, hugging me.
"Cousin," I hugged Betty. We sat down together for a while in silence after we order our food.
"We need to talk about this," Betty broke the silence.
I looked up from the table and at the two girls. "We're still going to see each other," I mentioned.
"Yeah, but it's two years. Two years without seeing each other every day," Veronica answered.
"You too will still have each other. I'll call you guy every day," I smiled, letting a little tear fall down my cheek.
Betty wiped her eye, holding her tears.
"Hey, don't you both cry, cause then I'll cry, and it'll be like watching the end of Friends again," Veronica whispered.
Both Betty and I chuckled as Veronica joined in.
After Pop Tate brought our food, we ate while we chatted before walking out of the diner and into the car park. "I'm really going to miss you guys," I blurted out.
"Me too," Veronica sobbed.
"V," I sighed, hugging her tight.
"Hey, what about me," Betty cried. We opened our arms and let her into a three-way hug.
"Okay, okay, okay. I don't want to smug my makeup," I wiped my eyes. We let go of each other and stayed quiet. "I have to go, Toni's coming over soon," I smiled at the two of them. We hugged one last time before I got in my car and went home.
I laid on my bed before I felt my mattress weight down. I turned on my back to see a pink-haired serpent above me. I smiled. "Your mum let me in," she kissed my lips.
"Did you visit Ava?" I asked her, leaning on her.
"Yeah, I'm going to miss her and Toby and Spencer," Toni answered.
"I'm sorry, babe. I know it's hard," I kissed her cheek.
"I'll be fine. I've got you. I can also call and visit them," she said, laying down.
"Did you move everything out of your trailer?" I asked, sitting next to her.
She nodded, "Everything apart from some of the furniture," Toni sighed.
