🌙

Hell, he was right, time did fly fast.

Before he knew it, the moving process was pretty much complete, over the course of a week or so. While a few minor things still needed to be bought, the apartment was looking nice. Thanks to Sunghoon's visual eye and taste that was. He was very thankful to have someone with a good vision and knowing what colours looked nice. Otherwise this apartment would've been a complete mess.
His room became furnished for the most part, only small personal additions now needed. The living room and kitchen remained completely furnished, the echoing and hollow feeling from before now completely gone. The two boys had worked non stop for the last week to get everything done as quickly as possible, they did have to return to work and uni soon after all.
The two had moved in during summer break, as they had the most free time from their jobs and studying.

Speaking of the younger. The two had only grown closer through the course of living together. Already on terms of joking and teasing, Jake could say for sure he enjoyed the presence of Sunghoon a lot. Extremely grateful to get along so easily with him. Being together for most of the week as they shopped for furniture and food, and other minor things, he was comfortable with the taller already. Feeling like they had been friends for a long while, when in fact, they had only met over a week ago.

Sunghoon sure was charming, knowing how to keep a flow of conversations. And he was surprisingly funny too. He never failed to make Jake smile and laugh if he wasn't feeling too great. Despite this, he also knew when to be serious and when to give the shorter boy space. It was strange how observant he was. Jake passing it off as the psychology student within him. It made sense In reality. Or perhaps he was just very easy to read.

He always made sure to check on Jaeyun, whenever he would be leaving for the shop or elsewhere, he always offered the Australian to come with him. It made the blonde suspicious if he had managed to snuff out his phobia already. Was a psych course really that good that you can just spot mental illness!? (No definitely not.)

As the two had been pretty inseparable over their time together, Jake's anxiety had been rather tame. Never getting too high, as Sunghoon was always nearby if a sudden sound or event shocked him. Reminding him again and again he was safe just by his presence.

He was caring and very comforting, through the next further week the two continued to stay together for the most of it. Still progressing and getting to know eachother, trying to get out the phase of awkward silences now and again. Jake could definitely say the 'icy' side of the figure skater wasn't there anymore.

But hell, Park Sunghoon sure loved to tease a lot, however. The boy would continuously drape an arm around Jake's shoulder, or simply rest his arm upon the shorter boys head. Suggesting he was a good 'arm rest'. Which always resulted in a pouting, sulking, Jake and an over the moon Sunghoon who would laugh loudly at his distress. If anyone were to look at the two, they'd assume they'd been best friends for years.

Jake had always been a touchy person, his habit of naturally falling onto someone when he laughed, resisting the urge to always hug his adorable friend Jungwon whenever he saw him. (He infact, never resisted the urge.) Pinching Sunoo's cheek. (Apparently Sunghoon also did that too.) So he minded no care as Sunghoon would place an arm around his shoulder, ruffle his hair, or subconsciously place a hand on his waist. He enjoyed affection and physical touch a lot, always taking comfort in it.
He was clueless that the taller boy was hardly ever touchy with anyone else, something unique to him.

The two weeks and abit seemed to pass smoothly for the pair, not running into any issues yet. Well, not yet.

Unfortunately, Jake always knew that at some point his ridiculous phobia was going to kick in. Sunghoon had a life after all, he wasn't going to be with Jake all the time. Especially as the boy worked till the night rather than morning, unlike the Australian himself. It was just a matter of time till Jake realised the sun had far vanished, and he was alone in the apartment for the first time.
