I had only seen darkness for as long as I could remember. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. I felt nothing, but that began to change though... somehow I began to feel something. I couldn't tell what it was, but it felt energising. I later learned that it was something called emotion. Pain and anguish or so they named it. They felt oh soo wonderful! The sensations made me understand something new. What it felt like to be alive. As time passed, I decided to try to get closer. I had no direction, especially in this void but the emotions acted as an amazing guide.
Eventually... I reached the light at the end of the tunnel. It perplexed me, but I had no trouble following it because I had nothing to fear. I had nothing to be afraid of. I landed on something as I entered it. I couldn't make out what it was but as I looked down and around me, I saw soo many wonderous things.
What surprised me the most was myself. I had no feeling in the dark. I had no form and no reason, both mentally and physically. But I do now. Looking down at my physical form, it seemed strange, It had four appendages I'd later know as legs and arms. My body was light as well, and touching myself was soothing. I had something to see and feel, and it came from within myself! It was also very soft. Later on, as my form changed I'd hear frequent comments of something called 'Figure' being directed at me, I still haven't understood it just yet but I've learned to use whatever it is to get what I wanted.
As for that moment. When I finally stopped taking in sensations, I focused entirely on my surroundings. I was surrounded by creatures that resembled me. They were also carrying an unusual item. The dangers of which I would soon learn. They charged at me and pinned me down. I was bewildered, and it was the first time I felt anxious. I felt a new emotion once more but I didn't enjoy it. I had no control over it either. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
I passed out after being detained. When I awoke, I found myself in a room where, unbeknownst to me at the time, I would spend the remainder of my newfound life. I despised every second of it. Those monsters would keep me imprisoned and caged. I only learned their language to maintain some semblance of normalcy and to keep my sanity. Experiments consumed the majority of my time. Either testing my body or forcing me to complete tasks. One of them was seduction; they'd take a poor soul from who knows where and abandon him to me.
They seemed to want to put my communication to the test. But I only felt his fear, which became the only sensation I grew accustomed to and anticipated. I'd toss them aside when I got bored, their fear I translated to pain, and making that slow change while leading them towards it was oh so satisfying. It was the only task that I grew to like.
The others, on the other hand, were less than satisfactory. Nonetheless, I don't have much else to do right now except remember. I keep hearing about the outside world. After all, where would all these creatures come from if it didn't exist? There was soo much to explore and to do, soo many more sensations to feel. As my form changed, I began to gain a few abilities. Two 'tails' were one of those new additions. Added along with claws. I overheard those creatures mentioning that my form grew to accommodate those around me. Maybe it was just a case of adapting?
I tried breaking out several times using these abilities. I was successful in many attempts to reach outside, but I was never able to escape their grasp. I also stole a valuable orb during one of my attempts. It was calling out to me and it was just lying around on a pile so I couldn't help myself. It absorbed some of my essence as I held it. It wasn't much, and it didn't last long, so I didn't mind.
When I was caught, I threw it far, I'd hoped to find it in another escape but my optimism grew dim. They increased my security as they became more familiar with my abilities. I barely got to enjoy my favourite pastime. They stopped sending me one of their own to play with. Ultimately, I became frustrated and exhausted. Looking around at where I was now, I could barely make out a thing. I felt something off though. As if something was approaching me.
I waited for a while with nothing else to do but ponder when my thoughts were answered in the form of an orb. It broke threw my confinement and gave me an exit. I didn't waste time.
Following the exit, I saw trees and one of 'them'. It looked much different than those they sent me. and much smaller, a quick distraction wouldn't hurt now would it?
getting closer, I reached out to my prey. Tapping him, he turned around. I could smell it, Fear. Though, I also felt something else. It was different and it confused me.
I'd continue though, I'd figure out what it was.
