Its been a few minutes since we've left and I can't help but notice a lot more people staring at me, or well more specifically the person next to me. Glancing at the hand that was wrapped around my own, I wondered if that was probably the reason. Before we left the house, Evelynn just took my hand in hers and didn't leave much room for debate. She was a lot bossier than my sister...
Looking at her now, the hoodie and trousers that she had on concealed both her claws and her tails. The pockets made sense for the first one but I wondered how the tails were hidden.
But Apparently, I was staring too much.
"Am I that beautiful to you?"
"If I'm being honest, you shouldn't be while wearing something so simple but the people staring at us prove that wrong."
She looked at me in surprise.
"My, my, is my darling becoming a charmer?"
Damnit, Evelynn... can't you just let me win once.
"Please stop..."
I tried being firm but it just came out weak with blush accentuating it all.
"If you want me to, darling~"
She was having way too much fun teasing me. I'd call this bullying if I didn't know better but regardless. We were here. The neighbourhood we entered always called out as disturbing, especially at night but after visiting as many times as I have, I grew used to it. Evelynn didn't speak much either, I guess she was just taking in her surroundings. While she didn't tower over me she was able to see past my head. She didn't really have anything to obstruct her vision while she held onto my hand.
Finally arriving in front of the doorstep.
I knocked thrice before pausing and giving one last knock.
"Huh? Y/n that you?"
"Who else would it be?"
"Well, I didn't expect you to ever get a girlfriend with your ugly looks. So colour me surprised."
"Oh, shut up Micky and she's not my girlfriend"
"It's Micheal!"
"What's the difference, you look like a mouse anyway."
The door slowly opened to reveal a dishevelled man. He had bags under his eyes and a sharp jawline accompanied by a scruffy beard. He had long blonde locks and a plain blue button-up shirt with black trousers. His piercing green eyes locked with mine. His tan skin, at least that which was visible looked rough and scarred.
"Wow.. a pot calling the kettle black."
"Screw you!"
He laughed.
"Good to see you didn't change y/n."
He grinned.
"Who're you with though?"
"She's my friend."
He looked at her for a while before he looked back.
"And I'm a giraffe."
"Might as well be with that noodle neck of yours."
"Keep that up and I'll shut the door, right now."
"Okay.. okay... sorry."
"Now answer, who is that?"
"I'm telling you, she's my friend."
