My eyes slowly opened to the sound of rustling. Odd, my head felt like they were underneath cushions. I didn't have a pillow. Why did it feel soo comfortable?

I didn't feel like getting up but as my vision cleared and I looked up, Purple hair greeted my eyes first. Looking closer, amber-coloured eyes met mine.

"Good morning, sleep well? Darling~"

What! I jumped out as soon as I could, I looked at the red-headed girl in my room. Who the heck was she? Her skin was pearly white and she looked like no one I ever saw before. Though the moment I saw her claws and her tail something clicked.

"E-Evelynn?"

I yelled in surprise.

"Yes, darling. It seems my form changed to something more 'humane' no?"

I heard her chuckle

"Uh, yeah I guess. You looked cooler before though."

I said without thinking, she merely smiled as she looked at me. I caught on to what I said and how it could be interpreted soon after.

"Wait! Not that I mean.. you don't look cool now, it's just, I uh... sorry."

I wasn't used to being soo put on the spot like this but I was just flabbergasted. I didn't have anyone to talk to in a while and no less someone like her.

"I don't mind, it's quite charming actually. Though this form would be better for everyday life, right?"

"Uh... yeah, I guess."

"Good."

She laughed a bit.

"I uh.. can't help but noticed you're acting a bit different?"

It was true, she seemed a lot more outgoing today, granted I've only known her since yesterday but still.

"Well, I just couldn't help but lose myself to time reading those books of yours. The sealed ones especially were rather intriguing. Those 'Divas' they speak of certainly were the most interesting."

Oh, she read those ones. I had no use for them since... she wasn't here anymore. Added to the fact that I didn't like the memory they gave, I left them in a corner. I guess she found them better than the ones I gave.

"The ones you gave me were the most knowledgeable, I am sure I have at least a decent understanding of this world now."

Wow, that fast, how did she go through everything though? It took me a long while before I was able to get most of what I know and I consider myself at least somewhat smart.

"Did you.... read the entire night?"

"Yes, I did."

"Don't you feel tired?"

"No, not at all. Having your head rest on my lap was refreshing enough."

Huh? Oh right, that happened.

"Um... if you don't mind me asking, why was my head on your lap in the first place?"

"It was something two people do in comfort, no? I was sure you'd enjoy it and I was curious enough to try it."

So she read it from somewhere, must be one of those corny romance novels.

"You enjoyed it, right?"

I wasn't sure how she wanted me to answer so I just nodded.

"Then there's no problem, just ask if you want it again."

She said as she stood up.

She looked like a regular human teenager now, well minus the claws and the tails but considering it happened overnight, it would be much easier to hide her. Heck, I don't even think those yard guys would even notice her now. She looked like one of those actors I saw, the pretty-looking ones.

I caught myself though, pretty? Well, yeah. She was but it's weird that came to mind at all, I barely had a chance to watch tv anymore, I'm surprised I even remember what they look like.

"Were you thinking of something y/n?"

Shaking my head no, I told her about where she could find what she needed to ready up for the day.

"If you say so. I'm sure today will be wonderful."

"Not that I don't appreciate the enthusiasm but why?"

"Just a feeling. Now go get ready, as will I."

As we part ways and left my room, I missed the fact that there was a book that lay not too far away from the rest of the pile she chose to read that night. This one in particular however was titled, 'The Art Of Seduction"

There were many things I learned last night. While there was more to understand, I finally got enough to satisfy my curiosity. All that mattered now was to live life how I saw fit. No one would stop me from experiencing whatever I wanted. Of course, there was one beside me. The romance novel I read made me want what they had too, so why not follow my desires? However, the first matter of business was making sure his money issue was taken care of.

We'll figure it out.

In return...
