David looked upon the darkness of the illusion around him, regretting his life, his decision not to follow his mother over the edge of the building that day and to be with her to enjoy the warmth of being together in the life beyond.

To escape his daily pain and problems...

He was going insane, reliving his life and seeing everything that had ever happened to him since his father's crimes came to light.

After what felt like an eternity, does it finally stop? The pain, the agony, the fear...

It all recedes, leaving behind nothing but a broken and torn man in its wake who starts within this illusionary space.

The tears still flowed from his face; however, they held no emotion; they just flowed from his eyes like a faucet left open.

A strong force kicks David hard in the chest, causing him to fall back, leaving him lying on the ground and starting up into the treetops.

'Tree... tops?' David's cognition returns to him, albeit slowly.

However, his view gets blocked by the body of the Zoroark standing above him, and its claw is stabbing into his stomach.

The pain jolted his senses, causing his mind to blank for a moment before realizing what had just happened and remembering what was happening and what was at stake.

Though the Zoroark could stab into his stomach, this left an opening for David, who was beyond it mentally and considering that as the saying goes, "A wounded animal is a dangerous animal" It still applied to humans.

With adrenaline-filled strength, David wrapped his right arm over his opponent's forearm, which was still embedded into his stomach, and placed it within his iron grip before moving with his left hand and grabbing the Zoroark's shoulder.

Before the Zoroark can act, it flies through the air momentarily before slamming into the grass beside David, who is still lying on the grass with the Zoroarks claw in his stomach as he brings his opponent to the ground to gain an advantage.

Without any hesitation, David twists his own body placing the Zoroarks arm on his ribs, thus wrenching the claws of the Zoroark from his stomach but keeping his opponent on the ground with his left arm and with his more extended arm reach, causing a loud crack to resonate from the Zoroarks arm that is still within his grasp.

"ZOR!"

A satisfying cry of pain resonates from the Zoroark, which causes the Pokemon viewing this gruesome fight to cringe at the sound.

Letting go of the Pokemon's arm now, David rolls over the side and begrudgingly gets up slowly.

He looks down at the Zoroark, clutching its broken arm with tears forming at the sides of its eyes.

Pokemon have it easy. They don't experience this type of pain that often, and if they do, they usually get healed through various means almost instantaneously, while humans have to suck up the pain and get used to it like David was.

Looking down revealed a small section of his abdominals was entirely missing leaving a small gaping hole from where the Zoroark stabbed and had been forcefully pulled out.

"Oh... there it is," David says in a monotone voice as he stares at a piece of flesh roughly the size of his hand lying on the grass and staining the area in blood.

Looking back at the Zoroark, David moves over to the Pokemon, who notices his approach before he can get close enough and launches another [Scary Face] David, hoping to throw him into another trance so the Zoroark can deal another blow and cause David to go down.
