Chapter 12: Morning Clouds

Location: Northpass City Hall

Mayor Jupiter can be seen sitting at his office desk in the city hall with a small pile of papers that require his attention before the end of the day, but those matters can be dealt with quickly after he has wrapped up something more substantial.

Of course, that importance was placed upon his daughter, who had come to him with a problem.

That problem is the audacity of that shit Mackamore who had the guts to threaten his precious daughter to extort her to pay for his debt.

He taps play on a video file on his phone, from which his daughter and David can be heard clearly speaking.

["Pay for my payment for this month and next month to make it up to me, alright,"]

["Huh?" His daughter's voice calls out in confusion.]

["Paying my tiny monthly fee for only two months should not be that hard."]

["Yes... but I will not pay next month's fee."]

["How do you think the bank would handle that, hmm? I know what that could do for you, and that is you losing your job and your name making headlines in the morning paper," David's voice rings through the phone speakers as he threatens his daughter.]

["..."]

["Well?"]

["Fine, I will foot the payment for this month and next, alright? Just don't go to the bank, alright?"]

["Alright then, now then, get moving."]

The recording stops, but just listening to it makes the Mayor's blood boil at the thought that his precious daughter is being taken advantage of like this.

Now then, how was this recorded? It was simply because his daughter had been doing this for some time. As such, when doing something like this involving her being open to blackmail with one of her targets, she would wear a mic to record the conversation to modify it so that it would portray her next target as blackmailing her so she could blackmail them if they didn't comply with her. AI, indeed, was something these days.

It has worked a few times, allowing her to get what she wanted; instead of dealing with it like she usually would by blackmail, she used unique methods for this person.

Instead of just getting a new boyfriend, she could drain money from or satisfy that sexual itch; she wanted to make David entirely hers and make him incapable of leaving her. To do so, she would make it so that he was utterly dependent on her by first taking everything he had.

However, as much as she hated to admit it, she could not handle this herself, so she had to get her father involved to make David into her little plaything.

"Damn bastard thinks he can get away with this..." Mayor Jupiter grumbles to himself as he opens a locked drawer in his desk and pulls out an old flip phone with only one number saved, which he immediately dials.

After a few moments of ringing, the call goes through, but only silence is heard from the other side.

"Dear, it's me," The Mayor says

"Oh, Robert, you scared the stars out of me, so why are you calling me?" A female voice responds on the other end

"Well, I was wondering if you would like to help me deal with an issue that our baby girl is dealing with?" Robert (The Mayor) asks

"Oh well, this is a surprise; normally, you wouldn't come to me for help unless... you want this to be done thoroughly?" Mrs. Jupiter asks

"Yes, if you wouldn't mind, dear. Just send some new grunts to an address I'll email to you. You can pass it off to anyone who asks for it as an initiation to your team or gang in Sinnoh. Also, you can get the early shipment I have for you ready now."
