The words she intended to say earlier were left hanging in her throat as she stood there in utmost disbelief, unsure of what to do or say next. Samantha wondered if she was dreaming or not because she didn't think it was quite possible to see this kind of character in reality, especially at a place like this where everywhere was dirty and crowdy. If someone told her they had met someone exactly like this figure standing in front of her before, she'd have rolled on the ground laughing and told them they were hallucinating. It was just too perfect to be real.
The figure stood in front of her elegantly with an alluring aura that burned with angelic flames and mysteriousness. His jet black hair curled up to one side of his face, dedicating his beautiful rich deep blue eyes, poised nose and sharp jaw line into a perfect submission. The tiny black earring on his ear shone brightly in the sun and made his imposing appearance even more proportioned that it'd ever be. No wonder everyone was staring passionately at him and eyeing him with flirty eyes. A daylight magic encounter he truly was.
He was wearing an expensive champagne black Japanese office suit and a popular brand ice wristwatch to match. Just one glance at him and one could tell how rich and influential he was. He was striking an enchanting posture with one hand in his pocket and the other hanging freely beside him. With an apologetic look on his handsome face, he leaned in toward Samantha and asked in his rich and soothing voice. "Are you okay?"
Samantha swallowed back her words and straightened her back clumsily, putting her disheveled hair back in order. She wasn't the type who drooled over men because of their appearance or how rich they were. But something about him made her badly want to go down on her knees and worship him like an idol especially when he was worriedly asking if she was hurt or not.
This young man deserved an humanitarian award for being concerned about her even if it wasn't all that necessary! Samantha thought and a smile crept on her lips. "I'm fine. We only bumped into each other."
The man leaned in more closer and placed a hand on her hair, ruffling them softly to Samantha's surprise with a satisfactory smile on his face. "I'm glad you're okay." He said and withdrew his hand, studying her hair intently. "And you have quite a long hair. It makes you look really beautiful."
A blush slowly appeared on Samantha's cheek as her smile gradually turned into a toothy grin. She covered her face in embarrassment to avoid the man from seeing her sheepish expression and turned away from him slightly. "Thank you."
"I'm lestat." He said and extended an handshake toward her, smirking playfully at her reasonable shyness.
"I'm Samantha." Samantha said and took his hand in hers. Immediately she did, she felt a cold chill run down her body and her head instantly felt heavy for no reason. His hand was warm and soft but there was something else she couldn't detect that made her feel that way. Quite unbelievably, the touch felt familiar and she could feel the sensations at that instant but it was long gone before she could even withdraw her hand.
Sensing her uneasiness, lestat withdrew his hand back into his pocket and look around for a while to clear off the awkward look on her face. "Samantha, did you come here to get something? It seemed you were in a rush."
"Ah, yes." Samantha replied as she suddenly remembered it was Veronica she was looking for before they bumped into each other. She looked around for a while and sighted Veronica again, who was now walking towards them with two bottles of cappuccinos in her hand while she grinned from ear to ear like an idiot.
Samantha pointed Veronica out of the crowd and said to lestat. "That's my friend. We only came here to buy groceries and you know the sun is really hot, so she went to get us drinks."
Veronica walked up to them and handed Samantha her drink with a silly giggle. She absentmindedly started her quick rantings without noticing the figure that was standing before her and made a comment about the drink. "This really tastes better when it's bought with the groceries' money." And then revolved into a thunderous laughter.
