He had said he was going to order a driver to pick them from the orphanage but changed his mind at the last minute and decided he was going to pick them up himself in an hour.

The girls were still deciding on what to wear while the whole room was scattered with different dresses. Each and everyone of them wanted to look good and in turn, took the responsibility to fish out the best dress and accessories for themselves. Company was a place where many people worked at and they wouldn't want to appear there like some homeless beggars, hence, they had to take their time to dress up even if it meant delaying Lestat when he arrived.

Samantha was the only one who wasn't stressing amongst them all. Her sense of fashion was naturally high but she had no time to demonstrate it presently and most importantly, she preferred looking simple. She took on plain influence and and grabbed a sequence waist-sized top and a high waist denim jean, coupled with the sneakers she'd gotten from Veronica a year before as her birthday gift; no heavy hair and neck accessory or fancy hand bag to match but a medium sized makeup bag. And before she knew it, her roommates were already complaining at her choice of dressing.

Veronica furrowed her brows at the sight of the outfit and yanked it away from Samantha's grip when she wasn't paying attention. "We're not going hiking, girl. What's up with this?"

Samantha frowned and retrieved her clothes back forcefully with disinterest. They weren't going to be dressing up like they were attending an international gala just because they wanted to visit a company they'd never been to. Personally, she thought it was an absurd thing to do. "Are you planning on wearing a party dress to a business center? Where's your sense of dignity?"

Sneering in reply, Veronica walked over to the closet and handpicked a red body con gown that had a smooth slit on the thigh line, threw it at Samantha with a warning look and turned back to pick hers. A fluffy white gown was staring back at her differently from the dress rack, waiting to be picked and without resisting, Veronica grabbed the dress and returned to her bed to dress up.

With the red dress in one hand and the sequence top in the other, Samantha bit on her lower lip frustratingly and tried to settle down with one. The one Veronica picked for her was undoubtedly beautiful and classic and would fit in any event or occasion of the present world but somehow, she wanted the one she chose for herself. Putting on a body con dress with the kind of curves she had would only make her look good in the sexual aspect and not add any value to the pure appearance she wanted. She wouldn't want anyone at the company to think she'd come to show off her body and curves to them for dubious reasons. If only Lestat had given them a forewarning of how to dress.

Martha laughed at the indecisive girl and and fetched a dress from her closet, thrusting it into Samantha's hold with a wide grin. It was a yellow summer dress with yellow petals for hand and light multicolored stonings at the edge. It was a simple, yet outstanding dress.

Samantha's face lit up when she saw the dress and immediately, she disposed the previous dresses on her bed and slid into the yellow gown with a happy smile on her face. Her usual elegant aura seeped out through the dress and chaperoned the expansiveness of the comfy dress. They were in the dry season and the frock fitted perfectly on her body, barring the actuality that she wasn't using a belt on the loose waist line. Excluding the beautification the dress was giving her, she felt reasonable comfortable in it and decided to settle in it. It not only protected her, but also trailed off every look of unwanted sexuality. Somehow, she looked like a town girl and Samantha loved it.

"Where did you get this from, Martha? I think imma stick with it forever. It's really beautiful."

Martha smiled, trying to adjust the outfit she was wearing. It was a white blouse and a black Korean skirt; a head band with the two colours to complete the look. The blouse seemed rumpled in obvious areas and she was contemplating on two things: if she should rolled it over her head and press it with a hot iron or just forget the fact that it was rumpled and act like it was otherwise. "I got it from the black market some weeks ago when I went to repair shop. The fine petals on it caught my attention and it looks great on you."
