How was she dead?
Is this a prank?
It's impossible for her to die just like that.
They're definitely lying to me.
She's in a place where everything is secure.
Yes. Yes. She is safe.
That report was just a goddamn trash.
It's already midnight I guess? I can see the moon dazzling in the sky. Nakatulog na sila Alaiza, Ariel, Elen at Rhea. Only I and Lorrienne we're still awake. Lorrienne is currently controlling this helicopter. Nag boluntaryo ako kanina na ako na, pero tumanggi siya at sinabing mag pahinga nalang daw ako. But I just can't.
"Spade, take a rest."
"No."
"Iniisip mo parin ba yung report from HQ?" tanong niya kaya tumango ako. "Hindi ka naman naniniwala don diba?"
"Yes of course. That place is totally secured. It's impossible for a specific person to die just like that." sagot ko kaya bumuntong hininga siya.
"Then take a rest now."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"I just can't stop thinking about it."
"Oh c'mon, Spade, that's not you. Where is the Spade who is brave and never believe of something she never see with her own eyes? Stop it and go to sleep you silly brat." she said so I sigh and lay my head to the window. After a long minutes of silence I spoke up again.
"I'm scared, Lorrienne. Akala ko nawala na sakin sina Sheniel at Sheena, but apparently they're lying to me all those time pretending to be someone else... Ayos lang sakin yon kasi atlis buhay sila diba?"
"But?"
"But?? Hahaha. Of course it hurts me a lot. Why the hell did they lie to me? Why did they do that—"
"For you." napatingin naman ako kay Lorrienne, puno ng pag tataka at katanungan ng sabihin niya yon.
"For me?" tanong ko kaya tumango siya.
"Sakin sila lumapit before Ycel went into comma. They we're asking me if I can help them to hide for a while. If I could help them to become a slayer. Just like you, they wanted to be free."
"So how the hell did Samantha knew about it? That they were Sheena and Sheniel all along." tanong ko.
"That goddamn weakling, the so called Lieutenant. He told Samantha that he saw Sheena and Sheniel. That they were really alive." nakaramdam naman ako ng galit at puot ng marinig ito.
"So all along that asshole watch me suffer for nothing?" I can't believe this... That Lieutenant knew it all this time!?
"Calm your self."
"Sige nga paano!?" galit kong sabi kaya bumuntong hininga ito.
"Fine, I'll let you punch him." napairap naman ako sa hangin at tumingin ulit sa bintana. "Malapit na tayo." bumilis naman ang pag tibok ng puso ko dala ng kaba at takot. Kaba dahil baka nga napahamak si Ycel. Takot dahil baka tuluyan nga akong mawalan ng taong mahalaga sakin.
"Elen, Rhea! Get ready!" sigaw ko at inayos ang mask ko.
"Already? Fuck, kakatulog ko lang e." reklamo ni Rhea.
"Captain Spade." lumingon ako kay Elen at kita sa mga mata niya na nag aalala siya para sakin.
"I'm fine. All I need is to know it if it's true." giit ko at binuksan ang pinto. Tumambad naman samin ang squad ni Club at inalalayang maka baba sina Ariel at Alaiza. Bumaba naman ako at tumingin kay Club na nakatitig sakin.
