San woke up feeling slightly disorientated. He didn't remember going to sleep but clearly he did because he's waking up. He went to move slightly but he felt a weight on top of his body. He froze and immediately went to surge his power to his hands to make a weapon but he paused. The last thing he remembers is crying in Wooyoung's arms on the beach which means the weight is most likely going to be him. And if there's even a chance it's Wooyoung, then it's best to hold off on an attack just in case. He let his eyes slip open and glanced down at his chest finding that sure enough, Wooyoung was sleeping soundly with his head on his chest. They've never been this close before, never hugged for so long like they did on the beach and never slept next to each other but San surprisingly didn't mind. It felt good to let everything out at that beach, to really speak his mind and Wooyoung was great about it, really helpful. He's been so scared to talk about what happened at the facility, to open up about it because he wants to be strong for the others. He never fully told them what he went through, what they did for their experiments on him. Wooyoung is the first person he has opened up to and it felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. He has to be strong for the other boys but he doesn't have to be like that for Wooyoung. Sure he's still going to be strong and will need to look after Wooyoung if something happens but he can also relax a bit more.
"You're thinking too loud," Wooyoung whispered, opening his eyes and tilting his head up to look at San. San looked down at Wooyoung, seeing his sparkling and happy eyes. There wasn't any judgement in his eyes, nothing had changed since San had told him about what happened in the past.
"Thank you, for last night," he said quietly. Wooyoung smiled softly and reached down to grab San's hand in his.
"It's really not a problem. I know we've only really known each other for like a month but I really do care about you," Wooyoung said quietly.
"I care about you too," San whispered. Wooyoung's eyes lit up and he giggled, reaching his head up and kissing San's cheek quickly. San chuckled, his eyes crinkling up and his two dimples showing prominently. Wooyoung's eyes opened wide but he quickly caught himself and steeled his expression so as to not make San uncomfortable. He hasn't seen San look that purely happy and unburdened since they met.
"You know it's kind of weird for me. Since being taken to the facility, I haven't properly made a friend outside of the boys," San said with a sigh.
"Because you were scared to or because you just didn't want to make any friends," Wooyoung asked. San frowned thoughtfully and wrapped his arms around Wooyoung's waist gently.
"I think it was a bit of both. I find it hard to trust people because of what happened but you're just too different. You're basically an open book. Not to mention I know I could take you down in a fight if it comes down to it," San said with a chuckle. Wooyoung rolled his eyes and slapped San's chest but cuddled closer.
"I wanted to thank you properly by the way," Wooyoung said quietly.
"What for," San hummed.
"For the night that we first met. I really thought that man was going to take me and do things to me but you were there and you saved me," Wooyoung whispered. San sighed and held Wooyoung tighter, resting his head on top of the youngers.
"I'm glad you found me. I'd have hated if anything like that happened to you. I'll always be here for you if you need anything," San said firmly. Wooyoung nodded and curled up against San, letting his eyes slip closed again.
"Hey, you ok," San asked worriedly.
"Yeah, just still a little tired," Wooyoung said with a nod.
"Do you want to sleep some more," San asked him.
