The first thing Grian was aware of was that he was alive. Despite the fact that being half watcher meant he wasn't so easy to kill, lava was one of the few things he wasn't immune to. A fall in there meant instant death, and despite permadeath being off, there was always a chance that players would not respawn. That's why most of them avoided death as much as possible, and were very relieved when they woke up.
As Grian came to, he realised he was not in his own base. He looked around him, and saw that he was in someone else's bedroom. The walls and furniture were heavily bee themed, which immediately gave away that this was Xisuma's room. Grian smiled as he saw the helmeted hero fast asleep on a chair next to him.
Grian looked at his watch, and realised it was late afternoon. Scar would be very worried that Grian had not shown up at their meeting. He quietly tiptoed past Xisuma, wondering whether to wake him or not. He decided to let the bee man sleep. Unfortunately, Grian's hapless nature had other ideas. He walked straight into a television, knocking it over with a crash. X stirred from his sleep and slowly opened his eyes. He looked around to see what woke him up, when he spotted Grian righting the television. G looked up with an apologetic expression on his face.
'Hey, so sorry to wake you. I tried to creep out but fell over this thing.' He said, pointing to the television.
X yawned and got up.
'Oh, it's okay. I'm crashing into that all the time. Are you okay though? You were falling into lava when I swooped down and saved you...'
'Yeah, I'm fine.
X frowned. "Grian, when I rescued you, there were small purple feathers..."
Grian froze.
He knows.
Oh my gosh he knows.
Dozens of images flashed around Grian's head.
"Grian? Are you okay? You look terrified.."
Grian's fight or flight response took hold of him, and he shot out the door, spamming rockets as fast as he could.
