BTS' Mason Song Appointed As Global Ambassador For Prada By Suyeon Chwe January 23rd, 2023
BTS' Mason has been selected as global ambassador of the Italian luxury brand, Prada!
This announcement comes after teaming up with the brand for Elle US back in July for the August edition of the magazine and just weeks after Mason becoming the first Korean model to be the Global Main Campaign in over a century.

Last year, the idol attended Milan Fashion Week and participated in the "SS23 Prada Uomo Fashion Show", showcasing the brand's menswear for the 2023 Spring/Summer collection. Prior to that, he was the first celebrity to stream a Prada show live on Instagram earlier that year.
Today, this announcement has furthered his relationship with the brand by becoming the first Korean celebrity to participate in the global campaign of the 2023 Spring/Summer collection! This role is different from a regular global ambassador because he will be an actual model for the brand and will be on ads all over the world.

Taken by world-renowned photographer David Sims, this black-and-white photoshoot is meant to "express the multifaceted nature of human beings in a cinematic mood". Other celebrities taking part in the campaign include Vincent Cassel, Louis Partridge, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright.
In terms of Mason's recent role as a global ambassador, a representative released this statement of "Through several collaborations with Mason, we were able to fully feel his powerful influence. Since he is an artist with everything from luxurious visuals to an outstanding sense of fashion, [Mason] was chosen as an ambassador to represent our brand."
Mason is currently prepping for the release of his first solo album, Retrouvailles, in February and will start filming the final season of Stranger Things in May.
