CHAPTER ; games

"Ha! I beat the almighty Jeon Jungkook at League!" Mason gloated, right in the younger's face.

Mason is a very, very, very competitive person, he has and always will be until he dies. He learned from one of the most competitive people he's ever met.

Choi Minho.

He usually plays it down when playing games on Run BTS, but when it comes to video games, the competitive beast comes out of him.

Even if he does suck at them.

"I know you can't beat me in Overwatch, Seunie." Jungkook taunted the older 97 liner, turning to his computer to start a game of Overwatch. "You know I'm the best at this."

"Get ready to die, Jeon Jungkook." He muttered in English, connecting his computer to the game. He obviously knew Jungkook was pretty good at the game, but his spirit would not let him fold before he could prove he could win against him.

"Why does it matter?" Namjoon asked from the couch. "It's just a game."

The two turned their heads so fast, they could've gotten whiplash. "It's the most important thing ever!" They both replied at the same time. "I need to win!"

"Stop that freaky twin act," Seokjin yelled from the kitchen, preparing the ingredients for the group's dinner early before they had to cook, "and wait, I want to join!"

"Ha! I won fair and square, Kook!" He bragged again after another game — they did not wait for their oldest hyung. "You really thought you could win against me!"

"Rematch!" Jungkook yelled and pressed the button to restart.

"This is going to be a long match." Namjoon groaned and left the Upper House to go rest at the Main House, tired of the video game.

Yoongi sighed, holding a pouting Mason in his arms as they ate their dinner outside by the lake. "Jungkook-ah, why is he like this?" Mason wore his headset, only muttering words that the person closest to him could hear.

"He was losing at Overwatch and stomped away mid game," Jungkook giggled as he watched his best friend's pout get even bigger as Yoongi rubbed his arm, "like the sore loser he's always been."

The older 97 liner let out a noise, throwing his hands down towards his bent knees. "I was distracted! And there was something wrong with the keyboard," he whined, "it's super sticky!"

"No, it's not," Taehyung said, mouth full of the kimchi jeon he flipped in the pan. He was barely paying attention to conversation as he ate, but he had at least some idea of what was being talked about. His words brought out another whine from Mason who was angrily chewing his own piece of kimchi jeon with the cutest expression on his face.

"I want a rematch once we get back to the dorms!" Mason exclaimed. "You can't win once I have my non-defective keyboard with me, Jeon Jungkook!"

He stuck his hand out towards Jungkook to get him to shake on it.

"Hmm," Jungkook paused, looking up in thought, "you're on, Song Seungcheol." He grabbed onto his hand, sealing the challenge with a shake.

Everybody knew challenging the Golden Maknae to something, especially gaming, was like a death sentence to yourself, especially if you lost.

But if Jungkook purposefully lost in Overwatch to make his best friend happy when they went back to the dorms, then nobody questioned it.
