Being dragged around a tulip garden by a hyperactive puppy for a man wasn't how Hoseok imagined his day, but being with Mason was always something he loved.

The group finally had their first break since they debuted almost six years ago and everyone made the most of their free time. From travelling all around the world to just staying at home, gaming all day - we all know who this is -, they needed this break to truly relax before continuing their last few tour dates in Saudi Arabia and South Korea.

But, the worst part of their month-long break was that most of them weren't in the same country, meaning they couldn't meet up all together.

When Mason landed in Korea after travelling to France to visit his grandparents he hadn't seen since he was a child, the first thing he did was call a certain hyung with a heart-shaped smile to hang out in Paju and Jeju with him. That hyung couldn't say no to his member - maybe his favourite member, but don't tell Jimin that - and met him at the hotel they booked in advance.

They were only in Paju for the day, before Mason would drive them to the airport for Jeju.

"Hobi hyung!" The younger called out, a few rows of yellow tulips away from him. He motioned for him to come over to show him the flowers he found.

Once Hoseok made it over to where the other was, the latter started explaining the meaning of yellow tulips to him.

"They represent happiness and hope," Mason smiled, "just like you hyung."

Hoseok smiled, cringing a bit at his words. "Oh, I see our little Seunie is getting good with words." Pinching the left side of his face, he bent down to smell the yellow flowers.

Mason also bent down to face the flowers, "I saw a friend come here and it reminded me of you, hyung." Touching the sun-coloured flower petals, he turned to face Hoseok. "I really missed you, hyung. I need your positivity everyday."

Hoseok looked at him with concern. "Did something happen during the break?"

Mason always had the habit of keeping everything to himself until it was finished, such as the situation from 2017 which they never brought up for his sake.

He shook his head, leaning over a smidge to lean his head on the elder's shoulder. "I missed being with you all. It's weird not waking up to the sound of you guys laughing at the TV." Smiling to himself, Mason continued. "On tour, we were always together, so it's weird being by myself after, what, ten months of us being stuck on airplanes across, like, almost every ocean."

Now leaning his head over Mason's own, Hoseok grabbed the other's hand with his own. "Well, we're going to be stuck together for a whole week in New Zealand and hopefully, no one will be leaving early this time."

"I wish."

The two sat there for a few more minutes, both comforted by each other's energy. As the two most energetic members of BTS, even they needed a little breather once in a while and being together was always the best battery charger for them.

Mason looked out, the sky now turning a beautiful mix of pinks and oranges over the fields of yellow and red tulips and the small river that was behind them.

"Should we head for dinner now, hyung?" Mason asked, pulling both himself and the older man up off the ground. Getting a nod from Hoseok, Mason pulled him in the direction of the exit, still hand in hand.

"Hyung, I forgot to tell you something!" Mason exclaimed, wrapping his arm around Hoseok's own with their hands still attached out of excitement. "I'm thinking of getting Apollo a sibling!"

"A new dog?" Hoseok asked.

"Yup!" Mason grinned as they got back to the car. "And I was wondering if you would want to come to the shelter to help me pick one? If I go by myself, I may bring all of them home."

For the rest of the drive to the restaurant and back to their hotel, they talked about what type of dog the younger would like.

Hoseok, as always, thought the younger was so cute as he spoke about the puppies he saw at the shelter before, even though he was like a life-size golden retriever. He also felt lucky that Mason chose him - him!! - of all people to help him choose his new dog, something that will stay by his side forever.

Everyone knew how much Mason loved Apollo, literally naming him after his favourite Greek god, so being apart of this was special for the older.

And if Hoseok felt butterflies in his stomach when he saw Mason with his new puppy, Artemis, at the dorm, nobody knew about it.
