CHAPTER ; festa

WHAT MASON WOULD SAY AT THE END OF BTS DINNER PARTY FESTA 2022

MASON : This year, I turned 25 years old and I have been in this industry for 12 of those years, almost 22 years if you include how long I've been dancing for. Whether you have saw me when I was that 13 year old who would be running around Music Bank with my hyungs, or that 17 year old who won his silver medal, or even that 20 year old who got his first BBMA, you have noticed that I have changed for the better of not just myself, but those around me.

One thing that I learned when on my hiatuses was that life is too precious to waste.

My life's purpose is not just to work, but it is to cherish and appreciate the things that I have. I think of my members, my friends, my dad, my pets, my grandparents, even my mom and my hyung and noona who always watch over me. That also includes our precious ARMYs who have been with us every step of the way.

I've lost 12 years of my life to practicing how to sing, dance and rap. I've missed out on so many things 25 year olds have experienced. I've never experienced what going in person to university is like, I've never been to a party that wasn't work related, and I barely even get to see my friends!

But, I have been able to do things that most 25 year olds can't say they've done. I've spoken at the White House, been nominated for Grammys, have the best people supporting me and have the bestest friends anyone could ask for. Thank you for making my life like this, where I can have these experiences with the people I love.

*eyes start to tear up as MASON looks at his members* I've mentioned this to my members before. If I had the choice to either stay in London or to move here, I choose this path. I choose everything that I have been through, good or bad, to happen again so I can live this life that I have currently so I can always be the Mason that our fans can be proud of every day.

It's been seven incredible years since I joined the group that I call my family and I hope that it will last until I die. *starts to cry*

This is not a goodbye, but a pause for now.

i just wanted to write about mason,, i'm not usually this sappy, but thank you bts.
thank you for everything you have done for me and armys all over the world.
i will always love all seven of you until the day i die 💜 you will never see this
(hopefully at least), but you guys have deserved a break for such a long time
now and i'm glad you guys are now in a position where you can do this comfortably.
