"Well at least it's not a boring job." Lucy shrugged as she looked around the park. Her and the rest of team Natsu were being paid to care for famous singers before and after they played their concert.

There were about 10 bands performing, and the most excited out of everyone was Erza. She had no clue who these people were but she loved being on or near a stage.

Natsu, Happy, Wendy, and Charle were only happy to be with everyone on a job. And Gray and Lucy? They just needed the money.

"Ready for third preformer!" Someone yelled backstage. Lucy nodded and ran to the trailers where all the bands and singers were getting ready.

The day went on like this for her, and it was quite easy. And even though she thought it was an interesting job, it ended up being really boring after all. Lucy began to believe she wasted her day.

"Final performance!" Happy cheered, circling around everyone's head.

"Natsu, Lucy... go get the last singer will you?" Erza nodded, staring out at the sleepy audience. "Before they fall asleep."

The two partners saluted and ran behind the stage and to the last trailer. Lucy knocked on the door but was given no response.

They exchanged looks before Natsu stepped up and knocked even louder, accidentally denting the door.

No reply.

"We're coming in." Lucy said softly, opening the door. They both tiptoed inside and checked the whole place for the one singer. But no one was there.

"He bailed." Natsu said as he threw done a note.

Lucy sighed and looked over at a guitar that sat against a couch.

The pinkette followed her gaze and stared at the instrument. "He left it here, huh?" He mumbled and picked it up gently.

"N-Natsu don't damage it! It's not even-" She started to walk towards him to take it away, but he put the strap over his shoulders and played a couple strums. "huh?"

"I know how to play." He admits and plays a couple more notes.

"When did you....?" She trailed off as she actually got a good look at him. Natsu looked as if he was meant to be carrying a guitar. "Nevermind.... we need a new singer."

"I'll sing."

Lucy blinked in surprise.

"You can sing with me."

The blonde didn't know if he was joking... he looked so serious.

"Cmon Luce. Everyone is waiting. Lets go." He took her hand and pulled her along, still holding the guitar.

"What are you doing? Where's the performer?" Gray hissed, glaring at Natsu and the guitar in his hand.

"Lucy and I are performing." Natsu summarized and pulled me on stage, earning some odd stares from the audience. "You'll know the song." he whispered as he stood by the microphone. "Follow my lead."

Lucy nodded as there wasn't much she could do.

---Lucy's POV---

And he started strumming. He was so fearless. And I don't think anyone heard him sing or play guitar before, why was he so confident.

"Fall is here, hear the yell
Back to school, ring the bell
Brand new shoes, walking blues
Climb the fence, books and pens
I can tell that we are gonna be friends." He looked at me but I was looking at the crowd. They were interested in his actually beautiful voice and guitar talents. I was too. "I can tell that we are gonna be friends."

"Walk with me, My Lucy." He modified the song so my name would be in it... "Through the park and by the tree
We will rest upon the ground
And look at all the bugs we found
Safely walk to school without a sound
Safely walk to school without a sound."

I wasn't aware but I think he was getting closer to me. My foot was tapping, I was into it. Then all of a sudden I chose to sing.

"Here we are, no one else
We walked to school all by ourselves
Theres dirt on our uniforms
From chasing all the ants and worms
We clean up and now its time to learn
We clean up and now its time to learn."

Natsu smiled and and laughed a little, the crowd whistled at my entrance. And I was the happiest that I have ever been.

So I continued second verse just like him.

"Numbers, letters, learn to spell
Nouns and books and show and tell
Playtime we will throw the ball
Back to class, through the hall
Teacher marks our height against the wall
Teacher marks our height against the wall."

"We don't notice any time pass." Natsu looks over at me, strumming beautifully as we sang together. "We don't notice anything."

"We sit side by side in every class." I giggle into the song.

"Teacher thinks that I sound funny
But she likes the way you sing." Natsu nodded, moving a little closer to me.

I blushed and we sang as one again.

"Tonight I'll dream while I'm in bed
When silly thoughts go through my head.
About the bugs and alphabet
And when I wake tomorrow Ill bet
That you and I will walk together again.
I can tell that we are gonna be friends."

Natsu looks down at me with a... dreamy... look in his eyes. even his voice seemed softer.

"Yes, I can tell that we are gonna be friends..." He finished the final strum as we ended the song in harmony.

The audience applauded even though we didn't do anything special. Just a simple acoustic song.

But I never looked at them. Natsu's gaze was so strong that I couldn't look away.

The curtain dropped but it didn't make us flinch in the slightest.

"Natsu! Lucy! What was that?! It was ama-" Gray's voice started but he paused for some reason. Then I noticed too....

Natsu was had just kissed me, and I was so out of it that I wasn't aware.

I blinked and looked at his lips. The lips that he just sing beautifully with, and they touched mine.

Natsu leaned in once more, but this time I kissed him first, resting my hand on his jaw line.

"They're calling for an encore." he mumbled against my lips, opening his eyes. "After that, want to go buy a guitar with me?"

I smile and gave him a hug. "Yes. I'd be glad to."

Sophie is working on an AU called "Attack on NaLu" and it's taking her awhile. So I assure you that it's gonna be bloody brilliant.

Bloody is a good word to describe it
