Failed attempts - Jason

Lucy was encouraged. She was dedicated. She knew that she was finally gonna teach that pink haired idiot a lesson... by invading his living space that is.

And she was gonna do things just like he did. Sneak in at night and wreck everything he owns, even eating all his food (if it isn't eaten already).

Lucy hid behind a tree and snickered to her self triumphantly. His home was only a few feet away, and at this moment she felt way too triumphant.

"Like a ninja..." She whispered and flicked her collar up.

Lucy peeked in the window and saw a lump on top of the hammock, quickly acknowledging that it was Natsu. Happy slept in a bed opposite of the room peacefully as she could hear Natsu's snores through the glass.

Lucy opened the door, which was carelessly unlocked, and stepped inside, closing the door behind her.

Lucy stepped over to his refrigerator and surprisingly there was only chocolate in there. She hesitantly picked the box up and was surprised to see that it had her name on it. She blinked and placed it back down, not knowing if she should eat it on him or not. "Weird..." she mumbled and looked around at her surroundings.

Slowly, she made her way to his collectables which were scattered on the ground. She picked up a small box that was covered in velvet. Inside were two thin bracelets that had each of their names on them, Natsu and Lucy.

Lucy snapped it shut and continued looking at everything. There were matching shirts and clothes, necklaces, candy, notes, lockets, flowers (which were now wilted but were possibly really beautiful at a time), and so much more.

And then her chocolate brown eyes landed on a certain box. It was just a shoe box... but the note on top proved more than just that. It was a piece of paper, the size of her hand... With her name written everywhere with stars and hearts covering the gaps.

Lucy was conflicted over opening the box. Her hands seem to shake as she held it, grazing her fingers against the lid, pausing at the card for a minute.

Little did she know, Happy was watching her, silently. He grinned lightly as he anticipated her reaction to the gift in the shoe box.

When Lucy opened it, she could already feel tears welling up in her eyes. It was a scarf... one that looked very similar to his. It also looked hand made.

Lucy looked over at Natsu as a tear finally rolled down her cheek. Without thinking, she walked over, while gripping the scarf in her hands.

Natsu was snoring lightly now, as he was nearly conscious... But Lucy didn't catch it.

Happy giggled lightly and turned back over just in case something happened that he shouldn't be a victim of.

Lucy reached down and laid her hand against his own scarf, feeling his just go up and down with every breath.

"Maybe...." She started and looked at the extra spot on his hammock. He always snuck into her bed at night... should she do the same?

Without second thought, she peeled back the blanket and crawled in next to him, covering it back over the two of them.

Lucy held onto both their scarves as she soon fell asleep due to Natsu's comforting heat.

Natsu awoke only a few minutes after, and immediately saw Lucy squished up against him. He was confused at first but then looked down to see she was hugging the scarf he had gotten her.

He smiled and adjusted himself so that he was facing her, giving the girl some more room on the hammock as he threw one arm over her waist. "You're weird," he whispered, "weird for copying me and invading my home."

He chuckled before he too went to sleep again, with a happy grin on his face.

When they Lucy woke up the next morning, she quickly noticed the new position she was in, as well as the pair of onyx eyes staring down at her.

She suddenly blushed and tumbled out of his makeshift bed, the scarf falling on top of her head.

Natsu smirked and looked down at her. "Good morning Luce."

Lucy turned beet red and looked away. "Tell me what all this stuff for me is." She ordered, ignoring the thing that just happened.

Natsu's smile waved and he looked away, burying half his face in his scarf. "My attempts to... uh.... confess to you."

Lucy perked her head up at him, staring at his embarrassed and flustered face. "C-confess."

"Everyone I tried to present them to you, you either had somethin' going on or I wimped out."

Lucy looked at him with surprise before smiling, "then go ahead."

"What?"

"Confess to me."

Natsu hesitantly got up and say down in front of her, taking the scarf from her head and wrapping it around her neck properly. "I like you Lucy."

"I like you too." She said and was then brought into a huge hug.

After a moment Natsu broke away to look at her with a questioning look. "Did you see me naked?"

"No?"

Natsu didn't say anything else.

"Do you ever see me naked?"

He gave a nervous smile, making Lucy turn red. "Not on purpose."

Lucy smacked his forehead and yelped, "PERVERT."

"I love you~" whimpered Natsu as he attempted to get away, but unfortunately was beaten up... but he couldn't be happier.
