Authors Note:

I got this idea from an old episode of Pokemon haha. Team rocket got stuck in a whole so I thought: "let's put Natsu and Lucy in that situation but even more romantic"

Also, we're sorry about the lack of updates. Our brains have been fried from school. But bright side, look forward to Sophie's 500 followers one shot, a new ROTBTD Demigods 2 chapter, and some more oneshots coming up in this book! Thank you for you patience!

"That job was a major let down..." Natsu grumbled, dragging his backpack at his heels. "There was like... No challenge whatsoever. I bet our client could've done the damn request himself."

Lucy smiled slightly, holding her hands behind her back as she watched him with amusement. "Our clients were a sickly old couple, Natsu. I don't think it would be best for them to try and duel their robbers."

He just simply gave a shrug before slinging his bag over each of his shoulders. "Anyway... Didn't the request say anything about traps?"

"Huh?"

"Yeah. It said on the paper we had to be careful of traps. Apparently these thieves' main way of stealing is by trapping people and stealing their wallets or whatever." Natsu explained, taking the paper out for her to read. "The old lady said they were pretty common. And she almost fell in a bunch, though her son saved her a bunch of times."

Lucy blinked at the words before looking back at Natsu. "Wow. I'm surprised you remembered. You just kinda ran out of their house, I didn't think you were listening."

Natsu's eyebrow twitched as he snatched the request back out of her hands. "Why is it you guys have such little faith in my brain..." He mumbled, stuffing the paper back in his pocket.

"Well since the bandits are gone, we don't have to worry about traps." Lucy smiled, ignoring his comment.

Natsu but his lip. "Yea— no actually. They could still be set up. It's not like they took apart everything before handing themselves over."

Lucy's eyes widened and opened her mouth to respond, but a shriek escaped her mouth instead as she stepped down on what seemed to be false ground that covered up a hole. And she, along with Natsu, fell down a man made hole.

Natsu let out a grunt as he landed face first into the dirt, followed by Lucy landing on his back.

Lucy took a moment to process what had just happened before jumping up onto her feet and screeching  "AH! We ran into a trap! I'm such an idiot for not paying attention!"

Natsu pushed himself up and looked around the hole with a shrug. "Ah no problem. Erza gave me her communication lacrima thingy."

Lucy's eyes brightened as she watched Natsu sit down on his bottom with a smug look on his face. However, their expressions turned blank when they heard a crack coming from where Natsu sat.

"What... Was that?"

Slowly, the pinkette reached behind him and pulled out the broken lacrima, sweat rolling down his face. "She's gonna kill me."

Natsu scoffed as he tried to use his magic to raise himself off the ground, but it seemed as if his magic energy was completely depleted. "Why won't this work?!" He yelled, trying his best to create at least the smallest of flames.

Lucy tapped her chin and hesitantly pointed towards something that looked like a lacrima that sat on all four sides of the hole. "Seems like there's a barrier... Magic can't be used up here."
