Hey everyone! I just wanted to say real quick that I finished my Nalu Coffee Shop story and my new story, Story Book, is up! If you like anime cross overs (which some of you requested), that's your place to be. ATM there is only one chapter but I'm working on publishing some more chapters soon enough.

Natsu sighed as he looked at his new apartment. Gray had recommended the place as a starter as it had low pay, and the land lady was actually pretty nice. The only down part was that the heater was broken and the walls were unbelievably thin. Making the couple making out two rooms down completely audible.

Slowly he lifted his watch up to his eye level and noted that it was pretty late... 11:30 pm. At least... On a weekday it would be late for him.

After dropping all this boxes and bags, he swayed over to the bed and fell face first into the springy mattress. Even though it should be really uncomfortable, Natsu felt like he was laying in heaven.

There was a sudden bang coming from the other side of the wall that his bed post was pressed up against. "Ah... I-I'm sorry new guy..." A voice said, directed to him since he was indeed the new guy.

It was obviously a girl... Though she seemed to be distracted with something. And whatever it was she was distracted from was most likely the reason for loud sniffling that's was heard through her words.

Natsu hesitantly got up and crawled over to the wall, pressing his ear up against it to hear better. Yes he felt he was invading her privacy but the thought of a potential friend and a maybe long term neighbor being sad didn't really settle well in his mind.

"Um..." He hummed as he tried to think of something to say. "Are you okay?"

The girl was silent for a moment before actually responding back to him. "...What?"

"That bang... Did you hurt yourself?" He said, cursing silently under his breath as he probably sounded like a creep. "You just uh... Sounded sad... Or in pain. It's hard to tell when I can't see a face."

Natsu heard a faint laugh from the mystery girl, which made a smile appear on his face.

"Well thank you..." She said, her mouth seeming to be right where his ear was. "And I'm fine. I was just having a bad day with err... My friend's funeral was today. That Big Bang from earlier wasn't connected to that though. I just tripped on a bump in my rug." She snorted.

"I'm sorry for your loss." Natsu said, sitting up against the wall as he suddenly felt eager and energetic about talking to the girl on the other side of the wall. "And I'm also sorry about your rug problems."

She snorted and knocked on the wall. "My name is Lucy by the way."

"I'm Natsu."

It's been two months since Natsu first moved into his apartment and he had only seen Lucy's face once. It was late at night and she was too tired to even notice him walking into his apartment the same time he was entering his.

And now? It was the second time and she was staring straight at him from her stationary spot at her door.

"Natsu?" She said hesitantly as she looked at him, right when he stepped outside with an apple in his mouth. "You... Have pink hair?"

Natsu couldn't help but laugh at the first thing she said to him face to face. He took the apple out of his mouth and smirked, walking over to her. "Yeah. It's natural."

Lucy examined him with a twinkle in her eyes. "Wow."

"Eyes are up here, Luce."

The blonde blushed and quickly shook her head. "No no no I wasn't—"

"It's fine." He chuckled and Ruffles up her hair. "I am distractingly handsome aren't I?"

Lucy managed a smile and surprised him by bringing him into a hug. "Finally I see your face."

Natsu smiled softly though he was awkward about returning the hug.

After a moment of silence, they broke away quickly with nervous laughter.

"Hey uh... Do you want to go get some coffee with me?" Natsu squeaked out, making him clear his throat and look away as he cursed to himself.

"Sure. I'd love to." Lucy nodded and adjusted the purse hung over her shoulder. "I have nothing else to do."

The pinkette smiled, flashing his teeth. "Alright... It's a date!"
