Authors Note:
Lol this is based off Sophie. She hurt her arm and also volunteered to walk a family friend's dog and I used her pain for my pleasure.

But yeah! This is it you guys! The last one shot (unless we suddenly decide to write more)! I had so much fun writing all these for you guys and I know Sophie does too!

Now, Sophie told me that LakeHouse will be her last Fairy Tail story since she's drifting away from the fandom. Keep in mind she still loves NaLu. It's one of her all-time OTPs. However she told me that suddenly Klance has taken the # 1 spot away from NaLu. If you have any questions, ask her. I am obviously not Sophie.

Bye!! Love you guys!!

My dog pooped on your lawn

(Feel free to listen to the song as you read~)

This was the first time Lucy had ever gotten a cast before.

She expected it to be interesting in some weird sort of way, and honestly she wanted the excuse to get out of gym class. But only a few days into having the cast did she realize she absolutely hated it.

It's not like she broke a bone, she just fell off a riser and landed on her wrist incorrectly while trying to break her fall. Obviously using her hand to do that was a bad move because she sprained her wrist or whatever. Even the doctors couldn't even tell if there was a fracture on the X-Rays they took.

So here she was, going around on a rather low quality splint that did little to ease the pain. And... Not to mention... Taking a shower with one hand was absolutely terrible.

With a sigh, she bit off the cap of her dry erase marker and marked off the current day on her calendar. It was rather blank, no events really coming up except for maybe two birthdays for two friends she hardly talked to and only put on her calendar so that she would feel like a nice person.

She winced slightly as she tried using her bad hand to press the cap back onto the marker. She succeeded but the pain in her wrist stayed for a good two or three minutes afterwards.

"Lucy!" She heard Virgo call from downstairs, "Plue needs to be walked!"

The blonde grumbled and put her sling back on. "Seriously?" She complained, marching down the steps. "Is there no one else who can do it. I literally have one hand."

"My apologies princess. But everyone is out. And your father will kill me if I don't do the dishes like he told me too a billion times." She hummed, handing Lucy the leash that was already attached to her dog, as well as a few doggie bags that she stuffed in her sling. "Look, extra storage." Virgo smiled, gesturing to the sling happily, though she was rewarded with a glare from Lucy.

"Bye, Virgo..." The young Heartfilia mumbled before exiting the manor, hurriedly walking down the steps so that the eager Plue wouldn't drag her down again.

A minute into the walk and Lucy was already facing trouble.

The dog had pooped.

Groaning she tried to get a bag out while holding onto the leash and keeping Plue at bay at the same time. She was so frustrated that she could scream. Scream at such a high frequency that only Plue and any other dog in a twenty meter radius could hear her.

"Just— sit! Plue, sit!" She said, trying to get the dog away from smelling some garbage or sniffing at his own droppings. But he would only sit for a second before getting up again.

"Having trouble?" A voice spoke up, startling the poor girl. "This is pretty much why I'm not a dog person."

Lucy breathed in deeply before looking up at the stranger. He had deep onyx eyes, and pink hair. Not something that she expected to see today but it oddly made her feel a little more relieved. Someone fresh and not so stuck-up looking. "Oh I'm not having trouble at all." She said sarcastically, standing up straight and adjusted her sling that was slipping. "Just... Almost tripped on Plue's leash and landed in his shit is all."

The boy sorted and reached out for a bag, which she allowed with a relieved smile. "I'll help out.." He nodded, giving her a cocked eyebrow before squatting down to pick up the droppings. "Even though it stinks... And it's super soft and disgusting."

"Thanks." She rolled her eyes playfully, watching as he tied the bag into a not, holding it far out to his side so that he didn't need to smell it.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to walk with you until you get back home." He said softly. "Well— that's kinda weird coming from a stranger but the last thing I want is one of my new neighbors falling into a pile of shit right after I voluntarily helped them."

Lucy laughed and stumbled forward as Plue began to start walking again. "I would actually really appreciate that... Thank you...?"

"Natsu. I'm Natsu. I live in the house that your dog just pooped in front of." He said with an amused grin on his face, starting to walk alongside her. "I was watching you for a bit. It was hilarious at first then it was kinda sad."

Lucy gave a short breathy laugh and subconsciously tugged Plue away from someone's flowers. "And I'm Lucy..." She hummed, her gaze lingering on him for a couple seconds before looking forward. "Congratulations. You have introduced yourself to me in the strangest way possible. My dog took a dump on your lawn. How beautiful of a greeting."

Natsu laughed lightly, causing an odd warmth to build up in the girl's chest. "Well. The best friendships start off in the strangest ways."

Lucy blushes lightly. He just seemed so nonchalant about saying something like that. Usually she would roll her eyes and plan to ignore him for the rest of her life, but now, at this moment, she just didn't want this walk to end.

"So..." Natsu spoke, throwing the used doggie bags into a trash bin. "Will you be walking Plue again tomorrow?"

"I can make some arrangements." Lucy smiled playfully, picturing her calendar covered in reminders to walk the dog each morning with Natsu on nearly every day. "I can meet you in front of your house hopefully if Plue decides to take another dump there."

"And I'll laugh at you for a good few minutes before actually coming out." Natsu added, actually giving her a flirtatious smile. "It'll become a daily routine until you get that caste of yours off. Unless of course you're that clumsy without it."

"If I still had a doggie bag with me I would hit you with it." Lucy laughed, backing up towards her home for a second before returning to his side. "But hold on. Before you go." Natsu watched as she pulled out a dry erase marker from her pocket and bit off the cap. "Here's my number."

Natsu hid his giddy smile with his scarf as she finished writing the digits on the back of his hand. "I'll text you immediately." He said gently, as if he were incredibly shy about it.

"I hope you do." Lucy winked before plopping the marker into her sling and skipping back towards her front door, Plue copying her happily.

After all, they both had a great walk.
